Kinley waited patiently for Seth's return. As much as she liked Liam, he didn't make for good company. He just sat on the couch laughing at whatever rerun he could find on. He barely said two words to her.


"Do you want some tea, Liam?" she asked.


"No, thanks. I am good." He cracked up hysterically at whatever he saw on the screen.


"Oh-kay," Kinley said and rolled her eyes.


Just then her phone buzzed. It was a text from Seth. It read, 'Find the prettiest dress you have, put it on, do your hair or make-up or don't. It doesn't matter. Just be ready in thirty. I love you.'


She couldn't contain the smile that invaded her tired face. Liam laughed in the background, but she no longer paid any mind to him. 


She walked swiftly to her closet. There in the back was a slender red dress that she had yet to find a good enough occasion for. But Seth had said to find her prettiest dress, so this would definitely make the cut.
