Hikaru laughed and set a tall glass of water on my bedside table next to the box of spring rolls. “I wasn’t planning on it, I just wanted to make sure you’re okay.” They stood next to the bed, and I could feel my face flush with heat knowing they were so close. “You should probably drink some water though, so you don’t have a headache tomorrow.”

I flopped my body over like a fish, so I could look up at them. They were wearing a green and black flannel over black distressed skinny jeans and looking as gorgeous as ever. “C’mere.” I muttered, reaching forward helplessly. “Your shirt looks soft. I wanna feel it.” That was a lie. I knew exactly what flannel felt like, I just wanted them close to me.
