Awkward Owen

Owen looked at Anita, who was silent. He suddenly felt like he had said the wrong thing. His words did seem harsh, but it was too late to take them back.

"Please send me back, thank you," Anita said softly.

"Sure." Owen didn't know how to explain himself. He started the car and slowly left the hotel parking lot.

At ten in the evening, it was time when night life began. It was very lively outside the window, but there was silence in the car. Owen wanted to say something, but he felt too awkward about it. He thought about it for a long time, but couldn't find a topic to talk about.

The car arrived at Anita's residence.

"Thank you. I'll get going first." Anita took off Owen's jacket and was about to push open the door to get out of the car.

"Anita, are… are you angry?" Owen paused uneasily and said, "I didn't mean anything by it. Maybe I wasn't expressing myself correctly."
