Bashful Morning

Anita thought about it. She didn't seem to have any grounds to retort. "Okay, then thank you for sending me home, but I wasn't refusing you to send me because the car isn't nice. I'm just worried that it's too late and it's not safe for you to go back."

"I understand. You're so nagging. Get in the car." Jack's car was parked not far from the school gate. The two of them reached the car in a few moments.

They didn't say that again on the road. There was music in Jack's car, so they listened quietly. They soon arrived at Anita's home.

"Okay, I'm here," Anita said to Jack.

"Do you live here?" Jack asked while glancing out at the upscale neighborhood.

Anita smiled sheepishly at Jack's question. "Yes, we just moved here not long after we got married."

"Well, that's nice." Jack didn't say anything else.

After Anita pushed open the door to the car, she waved goodbye to Jack.
