Five

Today Angel cooks more vegetables, because for him they make his body healthier. Don't forget extras like chicken and eggs. Angel couldn't cook anything like that before, because the only food stock in the villa was vegetables, chicken and eggs.

Angel inhaled the aroma of his cooking, then put all the food on the dining table. Angel looked satisfied at the food, although it looked simple, but he could guarantee that the food would be better than the food out there.

Angel enters the room and finds Mark joking with Baby. This was the first time he saw the man laugh. After more than two months of their marriage, she had never seen Mark laugh like he does now. There was only Mark who was cold and grumpy.

Angel saw Mark so close to Baby, made him feel really have a happy little family. There was her, Mark and the little princess who was so beautiful.

"Angel!" Mark shouted breaking Angel's thoughts. The girl hastily released her crossed arms.

"Are you done cooking?" asked Mark.

Angel nodded awkwardly. "You better take a shower first, then we'll eat together."

Mark nodded obediently like a husband listening to his wife's request.

"Oh, Mark!" called Angel before Mark actually got out of bed.

"Why?"

Angel shook her head with a smile. "Thank you for taking care of Baby..."

Mark ruffled Angel's hair, then shouted. "That's my job."

Angel gawked, Mark can be this cute? Where's the cold and grumpy Mark? Then what did he say? Got the job? What kind of tasks? As a father? Eiii. Impossible!

Angel was packing his things and also Mark's belongings. While Mark was busy carrying Baby. Angel smiled, he was happy to see Mark who seemed to love Baby so much. At first Angel thought that Mark would hate Baby's existence, nagging every time Baby was crying. But apparently, Mark is so painstaking and patient with Baby who sometimes likes to be fussy.

Today they are going back to the city, Angel misses his home. Miss the kitchen and every room there.

Finished putting everything in, Angel approached Mark, asking to take turns holding Baby. Since Baby's arrival, Angel and Mark have been very compact and take care of each other. Really like a small family that is so harmonious, there is no more petty quarrels between the two.

"Is everything done?" asked Mark.

Angel nodded, hugging Baby gently and lovingly.

Angel was about to pull his suitcase with one hand, but Mark held it. "Let me carry it. You'd better take care of Baby."

Mark is getting less and less angry every day. It's even softer now.

Finally they agreed to adopt Baby to be their child. Angel gaped slightly when Mark said that he would adopt Baby. Angel seemed to not believe what Mark said at that time. Judging from Mark's attitude, it seems that he doesn't like small children let alone a baby. But after seeing Mark being so gentle with Baby made him realize that this man, such a cold and indifferent man, actually had such a soft heart. Even Mark can be more patient when dealing with Baby.

Angel is happy right now. Happy with Baby's presence which makes Mark start to change his behavior for the better.

That night Angel and Mark just arrived. Meanwhile, in the morning Mark immediately resumed his activities. As tireless as that man, tsk!

Actually, Angel is worried about Mark, who sometimes likes to underestimate his health. Mark rarely eats at home, maybe only eats out. That is if he comes home early. If it's overtime, he won't remember eating.

Angel cares for Mark. But he himself was proud to show his attention to the man. Surely Mark will be a big head later.

Angel did not feel bothered all this time. Angel is aware of her role as a wife. After all, it is her duty to take care of the house and her husband. Yes, even though her husband is like Mark who is sometimes annoying.

Angel repeatedly called Mark, but he didn't pick up or there was only a reply from Mark. Angel had just finished putting Baby to sleep, who had been fussy for a long time. Now Baby likes being close to Mark more than he is! Yes, Angel admits that Baby is getting closer to Mark every day. Before going to bed, Mark always took the time to kiss Baby's forehead and rub his chubby cheeks. Mark has acted like a Papa. Without even realizing it, Mark often called himself 'Papa' in front of him.

He looked at the dish that was getting cold. For some reason today he wanted to wait for Mark to come home. Surely Mark hasn't eaten because he's been busy meeting his business partners all day. Angel is ignorant, but at least she still cares about her husband.

The clock showed past midnight. Angel's eyes felt heavy and red. Drowsiness began to attack, but Mark had not come home yet. Angel propped his chin while staring at his food which was getting colder. Where's Mark? Won't he come home?

After a while, Angel's head lowered, her forehead resting on her hands. Angel fell asleep.

Mark just got home, he glanced nervously at his watch. Angel must have slept with Baby in the room. He chuckled softly, today he was busy with work that had piled up to the point that he had to go home this late. Mark opened the door to his house, he happened to have a spare key, because usually Angel had gone to bed first without waiting for him. Not wanting to risk sleeping outside, Mark ended up always carrying a spare key with him.

The door opened, revealing the light still burning brightly. Mark's forehead wrinkled, why is the light still on?

Mark's steps stopped when he crossed the dining table, he saw Angel sleeping with his head on his hands.

Mark approached Angel who was sleeping. Is Angel waiting for him? Mark stroked the top of Angel's head, disturbing the girl's sleep.

Angel woke up, he looked up at Mark who was standing next to him. "Are you home yet?" Angel asked with a small yawn.

"Were you waiting for me to come home?"

Angel bit her lower lip. "Uh, that…"

"Why are you waiting for me? After all, you really care," Mark quipped.

Angel bought his eyes. Apparently Mark wanted to get him into a fight.

"Who is waiting for you?! I was tired of taking care of the house and also Baby, that's why I fell asleep here!"

Did Mark misspoke?

Mark ignored Angel's scolding. He was a little disappointed, he thought Angel fell asleep because he was waiting for him to come home. Mark looked at Angel's dishes that were already neatly arranged. Mark wanted to spoon the vegetables onto his plate, but Angel grabbed the bowl instead and threw it in the trash.

"Why did you throw it away?!" shouted Mark subconsciously.

"Didn't you ever appreciate my cooking? Letting the food I make go to waste!" I better throw it away!" Angel's tone seemed to tremble, but still sounded curt. Without much more to say, Angel left the dining table without ignoring Mark who was ready to grumble.

Arriving in the room, Angel immediately climbed into bed and slept beside Baby who was already fast asleep. Caress baby's cheek gently. "Why is he so annoying! I've been bothering to cook just for him, waiting for him to fall asleep at the dinner table, then he casually just sneered like that," Angel muttered. "He doesn't seem to respect me. How did he ever think I exist? ."

There was the sound of the door being opened, revealing Mark's figure there carrying a bowl that didn't know what was in it. Angel curled up pretending to be asleep. Mark glanced at Angel who closed his eyes, he sat on the edge of the bed, then put the bowl he brought on the table.

Mark sighed, he knew Angel was pretending to be asleep. "Angel, wake up." He shook Angel's arm gently. "I know you're not fully asleep. Wake up! We eat together, you definitely haven't eaten right?"

Angel still closed his eyes, ignoring Mark's words.

"You're not usually angry. If I've gone too far, I'm sorry." Still no response from Angel. Mark sighed, then spoke again, "Okay if you're still angry. I'd better throw this food away. You don't eat, neither do I."

Angel opened his eyes, his hand holding Mark's hand. "Don't throw it away!"

"So what? You don't want to eat yourself, so what's this food for? At first I purposely made instant noodles, to eat both of us. All we can cook is this, because all the food you have thrown away."

Angel lowered her head in guilt.

"As an apology, would you like to eat this instant noodle with me?" Mark asked looking at Angel.

Angel nodded his head shyly. Mark smiled and sat back down on the edge of the bed. Reaching for the bowl, Mark realized that he only brought one spoonful.

Angel looked at Mark in surprise. "What happened to you?"

"There's only one spoon."

"Then?"

Mark was silent. A second later he grabbed a spoon and fed it to Angel. Having hesitated, Angel opened his mouth.

"I'd better feed you. Instead of us having to eat alternately, it makes me even more hungry," said Mark, then fed himself. "Open your mouth again."

Angel opened his mouth again, taking a bite from Mark. What's wrong with him? Why did he seem happy with Mark's changing attitude?
