Trapped in Olympus

Erithea certainly often heard about Olympus. She had also been there several times when Kairos received an invitation from the queen or some other member of the royal family. But usually it was not for serious business. Erithea had been to Dionysius' party once—the prince with the title of god of wine who loved to party. She had also been to the palace of Athena, when the virgin princess invited the princesses of the Titans for her tea.

But Erithea never went there alone. She was always escorted and riding in a horse-drawn carriage that was covered and sturdy. Now she was a little confused. After a few cold hours on Atlas's back— she finally saw the mountains of Olympus. It was a large but not very fertile mountain. Because even though there were many big trees. There were some areas that were tenuous and showed rocky and arid soil.

Without an invitation from Olympus' side— Erithea had a hard time finding her way in. Because she knows that Olympus was a dangerous area. Zeus kept the place sterile from humans. So he raised many monsters whose noses and brains had been engineered. They would immediately detect the smell and presence of humans. When a human stepped in without permission—they would be hunted by the monsters then couldn't go any further. They also cannot return to human settlements.

She had to find the Artemis residence. The princess that was called the Goddess of the moon and the hunt—didn't have a big palace. Because she liked to live a nomadic life with her followers. Erithea patted Atlas on the neck asking him to come down to earth. She had to enter Olympus from a rock that was visible in the air—according to the information on the map she had. Artemis would probably be surprised to see Erithea actually come. She probably didn't expect the girl to ride a pegasus.

But arriving at Olympus didn't mean she was safe. Instead she was now closer to the residence of Zeus. Besides, when Erithea finally stepped into Olympus. A tense feeling immediately engulfed her. When it was dawn, the air was very cold and the girl only wore a cloak made of buffalo skin to protect her skin. She knew that the monsters would not directly attack the Titans like her. But they were still wild animals that could hunt them if they passed.

When they were hungry, they wouldn't care if the prey was a Titan or a human. That's why the inhabitants of Olympus were often reminded to never enter their territory without an invitation. Erithea accepted the invitation from Artemis. But it looks like no one will welcome her. Erithea had not yet replied to Artemis' letter and moved straight to Olympus. The princess must not have been prepared for her arrival.

With Atlas, Erithea treaded the silent path warily. Even the dashing Pegasus looked restless. His neck tightened and he snorted more often than usual. Erithea's pat on his neck didn't do much to calm him down. Pegasus was different from ordinary horses. They were sensitive and slightly emotional creatures.

"Maybe we should have a drink first, you've flown so long and far," Erithea spoke to Atlas. Maybe the Pegasus didn't understand what she was saying. But Erithea felt that she could make Atlas understand. She saw a spring pooling in one of the areas surrounded by blueberry bushes. Erithea was also a little hungry and was thinking of harvesting a little. The girl led the Pegasus there.

Though Erithea had to make sure Atlas was in a good mood so there wouldn't be any problems— controlling the pegasus was easier than a normal horse. Erithea just had to remember to speak in a soft and sincere tone in every interaction. Because Atlas would know right away that she was disrespecting him.

Erithea untied her protective harness—which she put on to keep her from falling from the sky while riding on the flying pegasus. Then she walked a little briskly towards the spring followed by Atlas whose steps were a little carefree at the moment.

The girl used both palms, scooped up the water and took a sip of its freshness. It tastes a little sweet and restores her spirit instantly. She also plucked a handful of blueberries and ate them gratefully. She had not left the palace for a day but she was worried that she would starve.

What she was doing right now was dangerous and stupid. But she found no other way out. Perhaps Zeus' envoys had already moved to the Northern Forest to pick her up by now. Did Kairos and her family already know that she was missing? Erithea feels sad and guilty. She might have had to spend a few hundred years away from them until the situation subsided and they no longer cared about her.

But if she became a follower of Artemis, would that mean she would forever stay on Olympus without being able to return to her old life? It seemed that Erithea had to think more carefully about her future decisions.

Just as Erithea was about to fetch some more water to clear her throat of the slightly sour blueberry residue—something caught her. Erithea was filled with horror for a moment. Hands that were slightly hairy and covered with dry soil now covered her beautiful mouth. She saw from the corner of her eye that Atlas looked shaken and neighed frantically. The Pegasus turned around and ran away.

Erithea was dropped to the ground in a prone position. Her face brushed against the damp ground and smeared it. Then she turned pale as someone breathed near her ear.

"Gosh, you're so beautiful. Oh it must be my lucky day! hahaha! I will take you to my cave and make you my third wife," the hoarse voice came from a satyr. He was a half human being and a mountain goat who was father ugly.

"I do not want to!" Erithea struggled to free herself. She got goosebumps when she felt the satyr's goat leg touch her calf.

To be the wife of a satyr? She'd be better off with Zeus. Erithea was the most beautiful princess of the Titans. Being married to a satyr was an insult to her. Maybe she'll kill herself. But just imagining it made her scared. Titans were immortals, which means that if she wants to kill herself—she has to hurt herself as badly as possible. Just an incision in the vein couldn't kill her. Drinking poison would only make her a little sick. If she wanted, she had to jump into the crater of Vesuvius or jump off a cliff until her body was damaged.

"Let go! Let me go!" Erithea panicked and was furious. She cursed the satyr with a look of disgust and anger piled up.

The satyr with the horns on his head was no longer smiling. He slapped Erithea hard.

"What are you doing? Shut up and obey me! You think I don't recognize that look? You Titans always insult us, call us ugly and enslave us. Now what? You're going to be my wife. We're going to have fun..you will give birth to my child. Just swallow your disgust forever because you won't be able to escape from me!" The satyr laughed a little shrill then occasionally bleated— while dragging Erithea forcibly from the spring to be taken to his cave.
