A New Beginning
Ryu woke up early this morning, even earlier than his mother. He wasn't surprised by that anymore. These days Angelica had adopted more of a lazy lifestyle. She would sleep till 2 PM, cook something outrageous, taste it, then throw it in the trash can. For the whole day, she would laze around, it was to the point that Ryu had to bring her something to eat to her room. The most productive thing she did was laundry, and cleaning, and they weren't even up to Ryu's average standard. She would go shopping once a week spending more and more money. Ryu was glad that he only gave her ten thousand dollars and nothing more.
The sad part about it all was that Angelica realized she didn't have any friends, much like Ryu. That was a hard blow to her heart, she was even depressed for a couple of days. Ryu had to coax her like a good son he was. He told her how beautiful she was, how nobody was worthy to be her friend, how amazing and talented she was, and all kinds of flattery.
Well... he didn't succeed. He was thrown out of her room in a jiffy. But surprisingly, the next day she was in a good mood and not depressed in the slightest so she tried to cook again but that ended up depressing her again. The issue has gone to the point Ryu was playing the role of a parent and Angelica was a sixteen-year-old teenager in her rebellious period. Ryu even thought of getting a psychotherapist for her but refrained from doing so lest he upset her even more.
They still occupied the same rental place as before. Ryu wasn't planning on changing places, though. They lived here more than eight years now so this place was associated with the 'Home' so at least before the Revolution of Supers started he wanted to live here.
These days, he many times tried to get her mom to play Blood wars or something like that but she refused to say that she wasn't a kid like him. It was funny how she despised being called old but still accounted herself as one.
'Woman is strange...' He thought and helplessly shook his head.
However, today wasn't the day to lament those kinds of things. Today was the day when Rebirth would finally be released!
Ryu was ready for everything but still hoped that his spawn point to be the same Klent city like the last time. Not that it would be a big problem but it will just slow him down. He didn't really like that aspect though. He had his plans to accomplish so he prayed every day to at least spawn him as close to that ruins as possible.
He was so obsessed with that ruins because it didn't need you to be high-level or something. It only needed the luck to unlock the lock combination, but herein lies Ryu's advantage. He knew the combination to unlock the door!
You might think, he shouldn't be able to remember it all that clearly. Wrong! Actually, He was one of the few who tried to unlock the door the most but someone else managed to do it before him. However, he still remembered every move that was needed to unlock it.
Ryu finally reached his last-gen capsule and quickly turned it on. As he waited he was revising his plan but didn't dwell too much on that and instead thought of many riches he would likely have.
As Ryu entered the capsule and searched if the Rebirth was finally in the available games, he suddenly realized, he didn't know exactly when the game would be uploaded. He froze, trying to remember why he didn't think of that. actually, Now he was wondering at what time the game was released.
As he was wandering his thoughts trailed off to something else.
' Does the game award you for entering first. Maybe! It's in their style to encourage you as much as possible so you can quickly reach the level where the connection between the worlds will be stable enough. It's likely that there will be a reward!'
He thought there was an 80% chance of getting a reward upon entering the game first!
As the game was still not released he decided to just wait for it through. Seconds passed, minutes passed and hours passed and Ryu was still waiting diligently inside the capsule. He didn't even go to the bathroom!
And finally, at four o'clock it appeared!
Rebirth!
Without even an ounce of hesitation, he clicked on its icon. The game finally loaded up.
" Welcome to the Rebirth, Future Surpasser. Here you can experience magical and exciting adventures while ascending the hierarchy of life. I wish you the best of luck." Otherworldly beautiful women appeared in front of Ryu. She was overwhelming him with her holiness while also maintaining a seductive smile.
She was supposed to be just an AI but Ryu believed her to be high ranking Surpasser with innate ability compatible with this job. And probably because she was quite sexy. Her name was Rioka. Ryu thought that her innate ability might have to do something with her soul, he deduced it could separate her soul as much as she wanted at the cost of constant energy supply. He had heard that if you were depressed and thought of quitting the game she would encourage you sometimes, unsurprisingly, with her beauty, it worked with ninety percent efficiency.
But Ryu merely nodded at her. What she had just said was what everyone heard upon entering the game for the first time. He waited for the system prompts. He had to wait for a short while because it came faster than expected and with its surprises.

Ryu was shocked. The first thing was of course the 1,1x experience. It was multiplying given experience by whole 10%. Ten percent may not seem much but imagine if he gets ten thousand experience points in one go, That means one thousand Experience for free!
It was a massive advantage for him!
Second thing was that he found his mind stat too advanced. Even if he could train the body he couldn't train the mind to the point of it being at the human limit. It was a truly strange occurrence. Previously his mind stat was his highest stat at 7. Only toughness was at the same level, Strength and Endurance were on the level of 6.
Ryu thought of every that might have affected his mind and the only decent theory he could think of was that The Ancient Hourglass had the hand in it. The more he thought the more sure he became. maybe, When the time was reversed, everyone's soul was affected except his!
As far as Ryu knew, the Soul was a combination of Main consciousness and subconsciousness. That's why animals aren't considered as beings with souls hence they can never be addressed as Who.
If the Hourglass' Golden light affected the memories that meant it also affected the soul. Mind stat was somewhat connected with the soul. So if his soul wasn't affected that would explain this mystery. There could even be possible that his mind stat was bigger but human limitations restrained his mind.
After Ryu sorted everything out, he finally accepted his 1,1x reward and was planning to write down his name and think of his new alias. Suddenly though, he noticed that Rioka's eyes gained a new luster as she had finally awakened or come to a new life.
She looked at him calmly and with a gentle smile on her face. Rioka was about 1,7-1,75 meters tall, she had gorgeous and long red hair with the same firey eyes. Her chest looked perfect, kind that would fit into your hand perfectly. Although her backside was smaller than Ryu wished for her sexy legs overcompensated in that aspect.
Ryu was more of a booty and leg guy than a chest guy.
After some time Rioka spoke. " Congratulations on being our first player. The reward is yours. I wish you good luck with your upcoming adventures and hope you succeed. As she said that she looked at Ryu one last time and left her clone.
Ryu thought that her words were just encouragement and didn't think too much about them. It was finally time to complete the Registration.
He quickly wrote down his name but couldn't think of any suitable alias. He didn't want to use the old one as this was something similar to his second life so it wasn't appropriate.
As he thought about it for quite some time he finally thought of something. He thought of what he wanted now the most. And it was that breathing technique. One and only Unique-mystical grade technique. So he quickly devised his new alias.
