Unique -mystical grade technique

In the green, uncharted jungle, a young man was paving his path through the plants. He slashed his dagger from time to time, but when he did, one of those plants would be killed.

And that Man was Ryu. He departed from Klent city some time ago after he bought some must-have survival items. He bought the cheapest dagger, first aid kit, cheap clothes, and some other stuff. When he spawned, of course, he had some clothes but what he had now was still better.

At the start of the game, everyone had their one-time allowance. Allowances differed from kingdom to kingdom. Because every place had its own currency every allowance differed. For example, In the Levianeer kingdom, the governmental paper currency was Levis while the monetary one was Ner. Differently, Light republic didn't have any paper or monetary currency, instead, they depended on the Virtual ones. They were called Credits.

Because there was no universal currency players had different starting money. For example, Ryu got 140 Levis, which could sustain a mid-class family for a month, while a player from the Republic would have gotten 100 Credits. This shows that Light republic's economy was much better than Levianeer's.

Ryu spent 60 of his levis in total. He felt that he was ready so he departed for the breathing technique. Actually, if Ryu didn't care about the quality of the breathing technique, he could have bought a common breathing technique for exactly 140 levis. You could do the same thing with 100 Light Credits in the Republic. That meant everyone's starting Money could afford them a common breathing technique.

Ryu moved through the trees with a speed, he couldn't help but be excited at the prospect of obtaining a Unique -mystical cultivation technique. After two hours of traveling, he stopped. But this wasn't the stop he wanted. Unfortunately, he came across a wild beast. It was a Giant Boar. Giant Boars distinguished themselves with their size. Without a Star Core, they reached three meters and with black Star Core, they were at least five meters tall.

Unfortunately for Ryu, he encountered a Giant Boar with a black Star Core. This meant that it was Five meters tall and had at least ten times more stats than Ryu. There was no way he could defeat that thing. The disparity between having a Star Core and not having one was evident. Although he received a mission from the system he wouldn't even try it.

____________

Mission: Defeat the Boar

Requirements: Defeat the Boar

Rewards: 10,000 EXP

Do you accept the mission?

_____________

Ryu didn't even need to think much and hesitate. He immediately rejected. At his current level (0) He couldn't even defeat a bug not to mention the Giant Boar with black Star Core.

Ryu was keen on alerting the creature so he had to act as silently as possible to get out of this unscratched. He proceeded to walk as quietly as he could. Fortunately, The Boar wAs doing its own thing so it didn't notice Ryu. Soon he was far away from boar and could finally sigh in relief.

' Well, that was close. I won't be able to get away from every creature I encounter so I should proceed with caution.' He thought.

Ryu was right if he wanted to reach the ruins without trouble, he should avoid the beasts as much as he could.

now He walked more silently and with caution. He continued to do so for the next two hours until he finally reached his desired ruins. Here he could find what he needed the most.

The Unique-mystical Breathing technique!

' Everything is like how I remembered it to be. A Giant chessboard-like floor with an Ancient door in front of it.' He remembered.

A Giant chessboard-like floor was a real puzzle. It was really difficult to guess the right steps to take and unlock the door. But fortunately for Ryu, He knew the combination like the back of his hand.

He climbed up on the platform and immediately felt nostalgic. He remembered those fun days when he thought that this was just a game. He very much regretted his ignorance at that time. Maybe if he took the game more seriously then he might have succeeded somewhat.

Ryu quickly shook his head and snapped out of it. It wasn't time to think about what-ifs, Right now he should do only one thing and it was to get that goddamn technique.

He took the first step. The first step was most worrisome because if it wasn't right it meant that the whole combination has changed. It was the hardest and slowest step forward in Ryu's entire life.

Thankfully, when he finally stepped on it nothing happened and he was still alive which meant that the combination was the same!

Ryu sighed in relief and continued to step at different blocks with newfound vigor. With each step, he got closer and closer to the door. With each step, he grew more and more exhilarated. With each step, he imagined his bright future.

Before he completed the final step and unlocked the door he forcefully calmed himself and prepared for any unexpected interferences. The last step was as arduous as the first step. Ryu couldn't help but think that something bad might happen.

Finally, he completed the last step. At that moment the whole place started to shake and the door began to open. It was opening very slowly much like a snail's speed. Ryu could do nothing but wait which brought him more of his paranoia. He couldn't stand to wait like this, he was really impatient.

At the first opportunity to slip through the door, he did so. He found himself in the corridor that leads in one way. He had the only thing to do and it was to move forward and he did so.

As he walked more time passed. Seconds grew to minutes and minutes grew to hours. As he advanced he felt some kind of pressure bearing down on him. The further he went the stronger pressure he felt. It grew to the point that he was crawling on the floor, sweating all over. The pressure made him feel beneath something like he was nothing but a bug.

This feeling didn't discourage Ryu, it instead made him give it his all. Anything that could pressure him by its mere presence was undoubtedly something amazing at the level of the Ancient Hourglass he had found previously.

After the most difficult steps in his life, he finally found what he came for.

In the dark spacious room, a mysterious transparent-golden book was levitating above its pedestal. When Ryu looked at it he sense a feeling of superiority coming from the book like it was above all and beneath none. He once again felt like a blasphemer while looking at it. The feeling of being present in front of something sacred overwhelmed him once again. Once again he understood how weak he was, how unworthy he was, how he was beneath everyone and everything. These feelings pained him from inside. He couldn't help but smile bitterly. After everything he went through he was still at the bottom of the food chain, even some boars could scare him. At that thought he felt shameful, he felt so ashamed he wanted nothing but to bury his head in the ground. He understood his mistakes and vowed to never act so cowardly ever again.

Of course, what he did wasn't cowardly but a clear prioritization. But he understood that was not the way of Surpasser. He understood that if he wanted to practice the techniques inside this book that kind of act was unacceptable. He understood, the book told him. The book was so powerful that it even gained its Will. And it certainly wouldn't be happy if such a coward learned its contents.

As he understood that, some kind of chain was broken and some of the pressure was elevated. He felt more at ease. He stood up and got closer to the book. He felt that if the pressure was elevated that meant the book accepted him right? Anyway, he reached out to the book and took it, and looked at its cover.

Its cover was starry black, it truly looked mysterious. It obviously fitted in the grade of Unique-mystical grade. When he looked at the name though he was amazed. The name was...

"Mantra Of Eternity & Luck Leech"

As he opened the book, suddenly he felt that something had left him. He felt like he was lacked something but couldn't say what it was exactly.

Suddenly the whole place started to shake and crumble. Also mysteriously he heard a strange voice coming from his mind and he didn't like what he heard.

" You will die if you don't find someone..."
