Ariel was surprised over the next week that Caroline didn't lose it with her sister. Natasha had taken to ordering her around a lot more than she did Darcy. Like Malachi had hired her as a personal servant, the woman just smiled. Though Ariel could see the ire in her eyes. She apologized for her sister's behavior but Caroline waved her off.


"I've worked for worse, and it's not you that should apologize." She said. "I mean when you work for the rich you normally aren't seen as important and a slave."


"That's not true." Ariel said and Caroline had looked at her skeptically. "Most of the time." She added and Caroline laughed.
