Faction

(A/N: When I wrote this chapter I found an app, Grammarly, that help me correct my grammar or spelling mistakes (Not all because I use the free version). So normally the chapter is grammatically better than the others)

I was currently in the capital of the Fen Tian Imperial Dynasty. I was bored and didn't know what to do, so I came here for some sightseeing.

I came here with my main body and not with a clone this time, I haven't received any news from Yudie since yesterday, and because I had nothing to do, I just decided to visit this empire a second time.

Last time I came I just briefly spread my sense of the city without really paying attention to the city itself. So, this time I came to see how the city is, the differences between Cloud Temple City and the Capital of the Fen Tian Imperial Dynasty, and maybe cause some chaos.

When I visited Cloud Temple's City I mostly with Yudie and even if we had encounters with some troublesome young masters, we easily dealt with them, Yudie didn't want to cause trouble so we generally let them do whatever they wanted, there were some times where I had to beat some up but I erased their memory as to not have some nuisance following us everywhere.

But this time I'm alone so I can cause as much chaos as I want, offend as many families as I want, and even destroy them.

I strolled through the city, visited some places, and looked at what stores had to offer…

This city is not that much different than Cloud Temple's City or Tower of Sin's City, you can find almost the same thing, the only difference is the quality.

Fen Tian Imperial Dynasty is a mortal empire. The highest cultivation is Godland Realm. Only a handful of people are in this realm. They are the Patriarch or Ancestor figures and the Emperor and some high-ranking people in the palace. Most of the population are mortals with no cultivation and almost no knowledge about it, for most of them, cultivation is almost a legend.

The Cloud Temple is a 4th-level sect, they are one of the top powers of the middle domain and control a large area, Fen Tian Imperial Dynasty is an empire under them. The Cloud Temple is divided by Yudie, she's currently at the late stage of the Virtual Disaster Realm, same for her master and the elders are all at least at the early stage of the Virtual Disaster Realm.

The Tower of Sin is the training ground of the Sea God's Continent, the Tower is surrounded by a curse that'll kill anyone in the Limbo Realm and above so the strongest is only at the late stage of the Virtual Disaster Realm, in the tower itself you can exceed this realm without any repercussion but you'll never be able to leave the Tower so just before their breakthrough they leave it and return to their Sect or Family.

Except for the power level of each city, they are all extremely similar in all aspects.

I was looking around and was interested in a lot of things, although everything can be considered useless for me, I still like to see new things, so I visited every stall I found, asked what's this or that. I could use the knowledge in my mind or some appraising ability but where's the fun in that?

I entered an auction house as the last place I visited before leaving the city. This was the most famous auction house in the city and looking at the quality of what they offer I can say that they deserve this reputation.

I took a VIP room and waited for the auction to start. After 10 minutes of waiting the auction finally began. The item presented was of no use to me, I can recreate everything without much effort or buy them in the system store.

But I still bid for some things just to annoy them, there was this low-grade sword with a starting price of 100 gold coins but because of the one who brought it lost 10 000 gold coins. It was a young master who brought it, he could've stopped and let me buy it but no, because of his pride he lost almost all his fortune.

He came to me after the auction and unexpectedly he was a minor character, he also had a conflict with Luo Zheng but I don't remember why exactly.

Then the man tried to pressure me with his background and even tried to attack me, so I trashed him and broke all his limbs. I stripped him and then hang him above his family's manor

Well, I was the one who went and provoked him so I didn't feel any satisfaction doing that.

I had nothing to do any more on this continent so I decided to head towards the Four God's Kingdoms. The Four God's Kingdom is like its name state, the continent is divided between four countries. I remember that there was the Black Iron country, the Dayu Kingdom, the Sky Wind Kingdom, and the Xingye Kingdom.

The Black Iron is a very open-minded country, to be recognized as a citizen you only need to be in the kingdom, even if you come from somewhere else, you're a part of it as long as you stay in it.

The Dayu Kingdom, from what I understood, is stricter, the kingdom in itself is a giant sect, they all belong to the same force or it is this force that controls the Kingdom, so they are a lot less lenient than the other three kingdoms and also a lot more arrogant.

As for the Sky Wind Kingdom and the Xingye Kingdom, I don't know anything about them, only that compared to the Dayu Kingdom they are a lot less arrogant, well each of the three other kingdoms is better than Dayu Kingdom from what I know.

I flew through the middle domain and I quickly found myself above the ocean, I went in a straight line toward the Four God's Kingdom.

After some time, I found myself in a storm of wind blades of different colors, some were translucent, blue, green, red, black with a tinge of red, gold… Those wind blades are formed using the law of wind and each color represents a different level ranging from 1 to 9.

A wind blade formed by the first or second level of the law of wind will have the power of a Godland Realm, third level Virtual Disaster Realm, fourth level Limbo Realm, fifth level Divine Sea Realm, sixth level Divine Extremity Realm, seventh level Divine Transformation Realm, eighth and ninth level Realm Lord. And Realm Lords are the strongest beings in this universe after the around hundred Heavenly Venerate, so yeah this storm is incredibly strong and to go through it you have to have a strong protection treasure or be strong enough.

But well for me it was not much of a problem, I already understand this level of the law so I passed through the storm like a fish in water.

The law has some sentience so when they saw that they can't get close to me they just left. But suddenly a rift in space opened and a tentacle shot toward me and tried to grab me. So instead, I was the one who grabbed the other and I pulled it out from its hideout.

But I felt like the world itself was rejecting it so, if I didn't want to injure the world by forcefully pulling it in, I had to let him go so I just shot a ray of energy in the rift to kill the beast.

After that, I decided to increase my speed and in two minutes I arrived above the continent of the Four God's Country.

The continent is divided into five parts, at the center of the continent you have an enormous lake that they call the Heavenly Feather Sea, in it, you have something akin to a secret realm that belonged to the Dragon Race, and the Four Country surrounds this sea from all sides.

I remember that there's a pickaxe in this secret realm, one of the tens of thousand strongest weapons in this universe. It contains the Law of Causality so it can destroy anything with a weaker Law of Causality.

Apart from the secret realm, there's nothing to do here because all the events will happen when Luo Zheng goes to those places.

There was someone named monster who was the child of the plains who lived in the Dayu Kingdom, they use him to train and he use them to grow stronger. He was special, his soul was the collection of the ten thousand worlds from the Lower Realm so it was as strong as a soul of a Realm Lord and he ate the brain of his victims to steal their talents. It's a very good skill to have and honestly, if he wasn't scarified to Luo Zheng, he would've become insanely strong.

(A/N: Those are my though and not necessarily the truth.)

I contemplated as I looked at the continent from above. I'm bored, I have nothing to do and I don't want to rush the events. I can go everywhere, and do whatever I want but I don't have any purpose. Returning to earth is not a problem, even if ten thousand years pass in there, it'll not even be a second on earth.

The universe can't give anything apart from entertainment, but the important event will only happen in years to come so for now I don't know what to do.

[Ding! New Quest!]

"Eh? What?" I exclaimed incredulously at the system notification that appeared before me.

'A quest? Since when is there a quest in the system? And even then what can this quest possibly give me?' I thought as could not find any reason for this quest to appear.

Normally there isn't a quest function in the system and IT is dead so I should've not received a quest. The only other entity that can give me a quest is the VOID itself but from what I know the VOID has a limited intelligence so it can't do something like that normally.

I clicked on the notification to see what the quest is about.

[Quest: Preparation

Objective: Create your organization

Details: The Omniverse is divided into different factions. And Host as the successor of IT and as the one Blessed By The Void has to be in a faction. You are known as IT's successor so every faction will be overjoyed to welcome you into their faction but you possess a secret that no one knows and no one can know, you can control Void Energy and cultivate it, something that everyone tries to do but can't. And Host doesn't have to do everything on his own, he needs subordinates to do all the boring and annoying tasks and to show off his power. So, the Host has to create his organization that will follow you through the Omniverse and acts as your army, representative…

Time limit: ∞

Rewards: You already have everything and you ask for more?]

"So how is the mission? I saw that you were even more bored than normal so I decided to see what I can do and here's the result." Said Celicia as her illusory body appeared and she hugged me from behind.

"Well, thanks. At least I'll be able to do something instead of sitting around and doing nothing when nothing happens." I thanked Celicia and kissed her cheek.

"Hehe, no problem. I knew you were bored so I had to do something!" She said.

"But I never knew you could do something like that." I said curiously.

"And when I'll finally have my body, I'll be able to do much more." She smiling.

"And I can't wait!" I said as I took her by the waist and planted a kiss on her beautiful lips.

She giggled before disappearing like a mirage.

"Well, now I have to get to work! And I know some people I'll choose but this is for the future for now I have to make a plan." I said as I began to think about how I should create this faction/organization.

First, I have to create the place where my organization will be, and I know the best place, my internal world. My internal world is the best place to host it, I can control everything in it and I am omnipresent and omniscient in there. This is the most secure place because my internal world is completely cut off from the Omniverse, so no one can kill someone in there or do anything without my authorization or if the person is stronger than me by a large margin.

As for the recruitment I have people in mind but I have to wait before taking them with me. Anyway, I first have to concentrate on creating the 'headquarters" of my faction.

I went to the Black Iron kingdom because it was the country where you were the freer. I have to make a reputation for myself and then I'll create a branch for my organization there, I'll do the same in each continent. There will be a branch in each continent, and each branch will have branches in each country.

But those branches would only be a façade, my real faction will be hidden, like a secret organization. I will only accept those destined to be with me, the ones I deem competent enough, the loyal ones, they will act as my confidant and my right hand.

I visited a little of the capital and nothing special there so I went to a famous restaurant and ordered the most expensive dessert. I gave the waiter a big tip and asked him if there was something akin to a guild like you see in Japanese isekai, and he told me that there was one and that it has a pretty big reputation.

I thanked him and then left the restaurant and went towards the 'guild', well from what it told me it's more like a mercenary group than a guild but I'll continue to call it a guild either way.

I arrived before a bustling building, I could see men and women, the youngest I could see seems to be a teen and the older were a thousand to ten thousand years old. The weaker were in the Godland Realm and the strongest was at the late stage of the Divine Sea realm.

I went directly to the counter to register, there was a middle-aged woman behind the counter who was doing whatever she was doing.

"Good morning! How may I help you?" She asked when she saw me.

"Hello, I would like to register." I said to the middle-aged woman.

"Do you want to register as a lone cultivator or as a mercenary?" She asked with a professional smile.

"What's the difference?" I asked.

"If you register as a mercenary, you will receive a salary, a discount in almost all the stores in the continent, you will be protected by the guild but each month you'll have to do a certain number of quests depending on your grade. There are nine grades, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Black Gold, Crystal, Life, Earth, Sky, and Heaven. You will be called if there's an urgency or if you are needed. And of course, the higher your grade the better your privilege." She explained as she showed me something like a menu where everything was explained.

"Hmm… I see. It seems to be a good choice to register as a mercenary but I don't need all of that." I marooned under my breath.

Honestly, if you don't want to join a sect, registering as a mercenary is a good alternative.

"And registering as a lone cultivator?" I asked because I don't want to be forced to do a mission or anything like that, even if no one can force me.

"If you register as a lone cultivator the only thing, we give you is the discount, except that you are on your own. Lone cultivators are also divided into nine grades, the same as a mercenary. If you register as a lone cultivator, you can give a pseudonym but if you register as a mercenary, we will ask you to give your real name and some other information. If a mercenary die, we will be able to tell their family. After you register as either a mercenary or lone cultivator you could go there and take a mission, each mission has a grade put on it so only someone of the same grade, one grade lower or above can take them. And each mission has a reward depending on the difficulty level. Also, the guild is present in all countries of the continent so you can easily go here to another country." She said and pointed at the board with papers hanging on it.

"I see. Then I'll register as a lone cultivator." I said, I have no use for those privileges so registering as a lone cultivator is the best decision.

"Sure! Here I give you his." She handed me a paper and pointed to the top right corner of the paper. "Here you check if you register as a lone cultivator or a mercenary." She then pointed at its right." Here you put your name and for the rest, it's written on it. If you have any problem call me." She said as she returned to her work.

Apart from the name and the check thing everything was optional, I could put an address, and people to contact in some cases….

I put as my pseudo, the Wanderer and left everything else blank. I gave the paper to the woman and she gave me a bronze plate with my pseudo on one face and there a symbol signifying a lone cultivator on the other.

I then went to the mission board to see what I can take.
