Earth Disaster

Deep in the dirty seabed, among the many skeletons of giant sea creatures that existed hundreds of years ago, a fissure formed from the seabed that cracked suddenly. From the cracks, big bubbles came out, more and more with a reddish hue.

The crack in the seabed that was first only small and short, measuring only a few meters, suddenly lengthened with a shuddering cracking sound. Spread quickly as if a giant snake was crawling on the seabed.

The remaining marine animals—and most of them from crustaceans and mollusks—scattered away, away from the cracks that were moving wider and wider. And each part of the crack itself moves in the opposite direction.

The crustaceans may be able to escape quickly, but not for the type of mollusk, especially the type that crawls on the ocean floor. As the crevice formed and grew wider, the creatures plunged into the reddened crevice along with the remains of long-dead coral. Reddened because the activity of the magma furnace at the center of the Earth churned a hundred times faster than in previous days.

The cracks were creeping up in all directions, chasing at a speed that was hard to measure. Then, at some point, the crack splits into two parts. It's like a sword from the Angel of Death that cuts into the bottom of the ocean.

The movement of the crack continues to spread to various corners of the Earth on the seabed. The tectonic plates that lie at the bottom of the ocean, in the area of the country that used to be nicknamed the Ring of Fire, now seem to have run out of patience with mankind in the form of a cataclysmic rage.

The Philippine Sea Plate and the Pacific Plate move like two giants awakened from their long slumber. And it affects the continental plates that also flank the archipelago, the Eurasian Plate aka the Sunda Shelf Plate, and the Australian Plate aka the Sahul Shelf Plate.

As a result, an underwater earthquake was created. It was so powerful, and it provoked another earthquake to appear. In all corners of the sea world, the water seems to be drawn into the middle.

The man who was rummaging through the pile of garbage earlier was shocked, he felt his feet being pulled by a huge invisible hand. The land created by the pile of garbage seemed to sink as if he had fallen from a height of five meters.

The eyes of everyone who was on the same expanse of garbage at that time were focused on the open sea.

"What was that?" muttered the man to himself, he rushed to grab his sack and carried the sack on his back.

Minutes passed and they saw no other oddity. Most of the scavengers returned to continue their activities. Including, the man who had found food in cans.

"What a surprise, huh?" the man chuckled. Maybe just a regular earthquake, he thought.

They did not realize what danger was about to come upon them. Not they, nor millions of others, people all over the world who happen to be doing the same thing as the man who was in the territory of the former Indonesian state. Those same people scavenge through the trash for any food they might find.

As a result of the movement of all the tectonic plates and the continental plates that seem to compact to act in a movement that will soon wipe out all forms of life on Earth—at least, other small creatures may survive, but not humans themselves.

All the active volcanoes one by one awake. Then they erupted. It spewed fiery red embers into the air as it spews thick black smoke that obscured the view, as well, of all other volcanic material.

Great earthquakes were created. Shaking the entire surface of the Earth. Those who live far away in the middle of the mainland are torn apart. The hysteria is heartbreaking to just see or hear.

Old, towering buildings, crumbling. It's not enough to just collapse, but it also hits other buildings. Befall those who do not have time to escape. Well, they have nowhere to go to save each other's lives.

The crying of pain, the screams of death, mingled with the roar of the fallen skyscrapers. Beautiful castles, majestic castles are powerless to withstand the attacks of nature. Collapsed, fell, and shattered flat on the surface of the ground that seemed to be bumpy, alive, and moving.

Simultaneous events that occur in every hemisphere of the Earth are further exacerbated by the eruption of volcanic rocks thrown by volcanic craters that erupt. Incandescent lava reddened several corners of the Earth, flowing like a tributary without being prevented.

Cracks were also created on the surface of the land. Unfortunately, it was all accompanied by bursts of hot gas which hissed loudly. Flammable poisonous gas that looks like death snakes from hell chasing after those who run helter-skelter. They were either thrown to death by a violent blast of gas or fell in and then burned until they melted.

What they don't know—perhaps they know but are powerless—wherever they run to save themselves, a terrible death lurks at every end of their path.

As if it were not enough to torment all forms of life upon all existing plots of land, Earth gave its most deadly terror…

The man who was scavenging for food among the mountains of garbage did not feel the earthquake that occurred on land because he was standing on the surface of the garbage floating on the ocean, as far as the eye could see. It is two-three kilometers from the actual shoreline. Plus, the waves swing under their feet, of course, the earthquake shocks can't be felt too much. Perhaps, the pang of the starving stomach was the only thing they could feel.

However, everything will soon change.

Someone shouted very loudly while pointing to the middle of the sea. The sea itself can no longer be called blue instead of beautiful. Black, with all the chemical poisons that adorn its surface.

The man looked at the person who was shouting, as well as the people who heard the scream. However, some of them think that the man is just looking for attention. Maybe he didn't find a single scrap of food in that pile of rotting trash there.

"What a pity!" the man chuckled, he smirked showing a row of black teeth and some of them were missing a lot. "Argh, none of my business."

The screams were getting louder and echoed from one mouth to another. This inevitably provoked the curiosity of several people who had ignored the screams earlier.

The man who had turned around looked out into the middle of the sea. That's where the toothless man's eyes bulged as if they were about to pop out of their sockets.

Very, very large waves can be seen up ahead. Even though it was still kilometers away from them, it's just that the height of the waves seemed to be able to take everyone's lives right then and there.

"Tsunami…!"
