The world that she had been waiting to see with her very own eyes was now in front of her own eyes. Penny could see for miles, noting the wonderful colors that were completely upside down from Earth. The tree's, were of a darkish blue, the sky was a beautiful mixture of lime green and a creamy Pink. The grass, was darkened but was still green, though red meadows of some unknown flowers could be seen stretching for miles over robust hills.
The world was completely intoxicating with its beauty and Penny feared closing her eyes even for a second, fearing she would miss the breathtaking view.
She was not sure how she had arrived her, and only knew that her necklace was still clenched in her hand. In the distance, Penny could see a bright, almost crystallized castle. This Castle, almost displayed itself for Penny and drew her to it. She was not sure why she felt the need to go to it, only that she was now moving, and she could not stop herself nor did she want too.
" I must see everything" Penny thought to herself as she began walking through the fields of flowers, of which she still did not know the name.
As she walked, she admired the beauty of the world around her and began to smell a sweet scent surrounding her. This scent, reminded her of Ember and how much she wished that she could have brought her to this world. " Someday Ember, I promise you are going to see this. All of this" Penny grinned widely as she continued walking.
" Stop where you are.." A voice called out from behind Penny who quickly spun around, startled by the voice. " Who are you? And what are you doing here? " The voice questioned, belonging to a man of smaller stature. He was quite old but seemed to be in really good shape for his age. He had long brown hair and eyes, an extremely light shade of blue, almost being pale.
" My name is Penelope. But most people call me Penny. I am here because..well I guess you could say I am returning home. I was born here " Penny explained as the man looked her up and down, memorizing every single detail that he could about her. " What do you mean you are returning? " The man asked, seeming to not understand how someone could leave and return to the Underworld.
" Its a long story. But it's not that important right now! Could you maybe tell me who that castle belongs too? " Penny turns and points to the crystal castle, and the man cocked his head to the side, even more confused by Penny's ignorance.
" That Castle, belongs to King Dynart and Queen Alibela, and is the kingdom of the witches" the man explained which excited Penny even more. Though she had never heard those names before, not once was any of those ever mentioned by Lysette.
" Thank you for the help, I plan on going to the castle. I am hoping they can help me " Penny explained and tried to bid a farewell to the man who said nothing and let Penny continue walking through the field.
After walking for a few hours, still traversing the fields, Penny stumbled across a small child, a girl who looked to be around the age of 8 or so. She had long flowing multicolored hair, and eyes that were captivating.
The girl was alone and picking flowers in the field as Penny approached her and decided to speak as softly as she could so that she didn't frighten the girl. " Hello! " Penny spoke, upbeat with her tone. The small girl turned to Penny and smiled back. " Hello".
" What are you doing out here? Where are your parents? " Penny asked, the girl, turned and pointed to the crystal castle in the distance.
" Is..your mom and dad the King and Queen? " Penny asked which the little girl nodded too. At first, Penny couldn't believe she was talking to a Princess who for some reason, was left unguarded and unprotected.
" My name is Penny, and I'm actually going towards your home if you'd like to come with me! " Penny smiled as she walked past the little girl, looking back to see if she was followed and much to her relief, the young girl followed her.
" My name is Aurora" The Little girl spoke, her tone very timid and shy.
" Its nice to meet you Aurora" Penny knew the name sounded familiar but she couldn't quite remember why it was so significant. " You are not really from here, are you? " Aurora asked which Penny nodded as the girl ran to catch up to Penny's speed so they could walk side by side.
" I was born here but I was taken away at a very very young age. And the is my first time seeing the Underworld with my own eyes" Penny confessed.
" Well, where did you go? " Aurora asked.
" I was taken to Earth. Which is kind of like this place but also not. They have their differences but I have to admit, this world is far more colorful" Penny had always thought of Earth as home. And it was never that she felt out of place there, but more so that she had always wanted to experience the part of herself that resided her. The world from which her parents lived for a long time. The home of magic and creatures that only existed in fairytales and storybooks back on Earth.
" I love all worlds, but this place is my home and I don't want to leave it" Aurora admits, as she walked alongside of Penny happily.
" Well let's hope you never have too"
