Chapter Twenty Seven: The Wicked Walls

Penny continued listening to the entire history of the Kingdom, learning a great deal from the King whom seem to truly know all things concerning his kingdom. From what Penny could tell, he seemed very competent.

Though, Penny had noticed the absence of one particular name was quite curious " So what about Kara? " Penny asked, trying to assert where anyone connected to her parents may be.

The King, who had an answer for everything seemed just as confused by this question as when Penny had asked about her Mother. " Kara? There is no Kara in my Kingdom. Are you sure you are not at the wrong Kingdom? " The King laughed though Penny maintained her serious demeanor.

" I am sorry, I guess I am just..mixing up names. It has been a long day" Penny sighed, realizing that when it came to finding her family, she would get no closer here at the castle.

" Well if you would like, you can rest in the castle for the night and then we can try to continue forward in the morning. Perhaps them, you will be able to recollect your thoughts" The King smiled, heading to the library door, pushing the large metal doors open and offering Penny freedom from his lecture. Penny agreed and walked with the King back down the long hallway, and was eventually led to some small bed chambers where the King stopped and turned around to face Penny. " You may sleep here this evening, if you should need anything at all, please do not hesitate to ask" And with the King, the King dissapeared down the Hall, Leaving Penny all alone in the small room.

" What in the world is going on here? " Penny thought to herself. Noone seemed to know the names of some of the most important people within the Underworld. None of it made sense. Penny had heard stories from an early age about influential all these people were and how much depended on them at the time. And yet, Noone has even heard of their existence. Either The King And Queen were Lying, or, something else had to be going on.

Just as Penny was about to lay down, she heard a voice call out to her from the other side of the room though she saw Noone that could remotely be the cause of it. The voice spoke with a deep and grumbly sort of tone and surprised Penny with its straightwardness.

" You Penny! Not meant to be here" The voice declared as something began shuffling in the corner of the room.

" How do you know who I am?" Penny questioned as the strange figure in the corner moved closer and closer to her, almost hobbling as it walked. " I know all. I know you. You daughter of Shawn Night slashing prince. You daughter of Raven, the Witch of woods" the figure answered and then revealed its face to be something, light green in color with a long pointed nose, even longer razor sharp knife- like ears and one pertaining tooth hanging down over his bottom lip. " Me Gooblin, me know your parents" The small Goblin confessed, making Penny more happy to see this little creature and no longer fearing she would be attacked.

" You know them? Can you take me to them? " Penny pleaded profusely. This is the first major lead she had on their whereabouts and she could not help but to be over excited about the prospect of finally meeting them.

" Me cannot. They do not exist" Gooblin explained which, Penny was not expecting. " What do you mean they don't exist? They obviously exist or I wouldn't be here.." Penny pointed out, crossing her arms, detesting the notion.

" No. Do not exist yet. Time reset, world reset. Things changed. Now we are in time before they exist. They do not come along for several hundred more years" From what Penny could gather, when the Underworld reset, it had literally restarted time there. Meaning that, her parents would exist in this world but not yet. This meant that Penny had technically traveled back through time, long before Gabriel and Kara and Shawn and Raven had even come into the picture. " Oh...that makes more sense now" Penny breathed a sigh of relief. She was happy to know that Lysette had her waiting for a good purpose. Giving the world time to regrow and for things to come into play, before they intervened.

" Yes. Good good. Should not be the here Penny. Could mess with fate " Gooblin explained, which Penny could conclude was probably accurate. Her presence could disrupt alot of things, if it had not done so, already. But Penny had no idea how to get home. She could use the necklace again but she wasn't entirely sure how she had managed to make it work the first time.

" I can take you home " Gooblin smiled, " That would be great, but I wish I could still learn more about this place. I only know about the Witch Kingdom but nothing about the others so- " Penny was interupted by Gooblin backing away from the bed, almost in fear of something and he began looking around the room, checking for something. " What's wrong? " Penny questioned but before long, she recieved her answer as Gooblin dissapeared from the room in a black cloud of smoke, and in his place stood a tall man - like figure. He was dressed in complete black, almost so black that you could not see even the smallest details of the cloaks he wore. His head, was the image of a skull, darkened and grey by its appearance, almost appeared to be stained by ashes of some type. The man, stood opposite of Penny in the room and seemed to have a smile on his face though you would not be able to tell given his lack of skin and muscles.

" Who the hell are you? Where is Gooblin? Penny demmanded to know. She felt intimidated by this figure but she also felt as though she was connected to him in some way. He was someone that spoke very little but when he did, his words mattered a great deal, this was a feeling deep inside of herself that Penny knew to be the truth. He was far superior in power to anything Penny had ever experienced. And finally, the figure spoke, words that Penny never thought she would hear.

" Penelope...I am your grandfather"
