The home was small but very cozy.. It would be perfect for the two. There were two bed rooms, of decent size. A huge kitchen and even a small library where they could read to pass the time. It was not as luxurious as the cabin back on Earth but it would be more than enough for what they would need.
" So, what are we suppose to do? Are we waiting for something in particular? " Ember asked as she layed down on the couch in the living room, looking over to Penny who took a seat in one of the comfortable cushioned chairs.
" Well, one thing we have to figure out..is who the heck payed for this house? I mean that is weird. Noone should know about us being here. So if someone payed for this...that means someone probably also knows what we are here to do.." Penny thought at first perhaps it could have been her grandfather. But, after some careful thought, she dismissed that possibility. He would have never gotten involved with this directly. Plus, if anything he more than likely would have wanted her to stay with him.
" Well, I don't see how we would be able to figure that answer out right now. We don't know anyone here..and besides that, they obviously do not want to be known otherwise they would have given us a hint as to who they are. So they are going to be purposely hard to find" Ember points out.
Though they speculated, coming to any actual answers seemed unlikely. That was until a familiar voice sounded in the room behind them. Penny immediately knew the identity of the voice and greeted him approptiately. " Hey Gooblin! " Penny could not see the tiny Goblin standing behind the couch on which Ember sat. Once Ember had turned her head, she fell off the couch from the sudden shock of seeing her first Goblin. " WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? " Ember shouted as she backed away to stand beside Penny who giggled. " That is Gooblin. He is a Goblin. He has been a big help to me since I arrived here" Penny explained as she stepped over to the couch and sat down. " Are you responsible for this? " Penny points her finger around the room as the little Goblin takes a few steps forward and shakes his head. " Gooblin not buy house. Gooblin have no money" the little Goblin hobbled over, crawling onto the couch to sit beside Penny, and still, Ember kept her distance.
" Do you know who bought this for us then? " Penny asked Gooblin who placed his finger to his small, pointed chin and seemed to think on the question for a moment. " Nooooo me not know" Gooblin answered much to the disappointment of Penny and Ember.
" Well..if you end up hearing anything then please let us know " Penny smiled down at the Goblin who nodded happily. " And also, if you'd like to stay here with us..then you are more than welcome" Penny offered which Ember finally decided to challenge. " Um..I don't know if thats a good idea" Ember took Penny by the arm, pulling her off the couch and away from Gooblin. In a Hushed tone, Ember tried to reason with Penny. " Are you sure you can even trust him? I know you said he helped you and I'm willing to support this decision. But are you sure?" Ember's concerns were something that Penny could understand but she truly and deeply felt she could trust the Goblin. He had nothing to gain by aiding them and yet he had. " Trust me, he is good. He might be one of the few that isn't corrupt" Penny explained as they both looked back to the couch where Gooblin once was, but had now dissapeared. " Oh great, you hurt his feelings" Penny scoffed, rolling her eyes and she began calling out for Gooblin in hopes that he would return. " Hurt his feelings? The hell? " Ember mumbled to herself is surprise. " Gooblin..if you come back, I promise I will apologize. I didn't mean to offend you.." Ember muttered under her breath, but after a stern glare from Penny, Ember sighed and repeated herself, this time more clearly. " I am Sorry Gooblin. Please come back" Ember called out but receiving no reply. " Maybe he had something to go do? " Ember suggested as Penny searched around the house a little longer before finally giving up and sitting back down on the couch.
" If he doesn't know who did it, then I guess we will have to keep our eyes open" Penny explained, as Ember finally took a seat beside Penny on the couch. " If we are going to stay here, then we need to do some investigating. We need to find out as much as we can" Ember leaned back against the couch as she began proposing ideas on what they could do going forward. " We know that eventually Queen Aurora, takes the place of her parents. But how and when that happens is something we don't know. And if that is where alot of this starts, then we should begin with that" just as Ember had spoke those words, a rather loud noise could be heard from outside the home. Ember and Penny jumped up from the couch and ran to the door, opening it to see several guards, running down the street past their house, seeming to be in a rush. " I wonder what is going on? " Ember questioned as Penny stepped completely out of the house to give Ember space to move " I don't know..but let's find out "
