Penny ran inside Raven's home and once she managed to wake Raven, the two began discussing what the best plan would be to get Ember back.
" If the person was correct and they did take her. I have a suspicion on where that might be. But, getting Ember out is not going to be easy. And on top of that, it's going to be worse the longer that we wait" Raven pointed out.
" Well, they couldn't have taken her too long ago so there is still time to do something" Penny paces around the room, trying to calm her nerves. " Yes, but to get there will probably take a little while.." Raven had a general idea of the location but she had never been there personally, so a time estimate was difficult to give. " I can teleport us there. Just tell me where! " Penny assures though Raven shakes her head. " Even if we just show up, it's going to be heavily guarded and if we cause an issue with the Vampires right now, it's going to cause issues with the Witches. And if that happens, it's going to make everything more unstable than it already is" Raven, despite hating politics, knew far to well that this could backfire if not handled correctly. This could cause an issue between the Kingdoms or it could unite them under the premise that they would hunt them down. And being enemies of both witches and Vampires would not bold well for the group right now.
" Well ,we can't leave her there. I understand that it puts alot of things at risk but I'm not going to leave her behind.." Penny refused to accept any scenario where they would leave Ember behind even though Raven seemed hesitant. " I'm not saying we should leave her behind..I'm just saying that this is alot more complicated than just going in and grabbing her. But, I know we have to get her out of there." Raven tried to think of a solution and finally managed to think of something that could work. " If we do go there, then I recommend we don't kill anyone. We just disable them and we get her out..and once she is free, we leave. If we do that, then this can't come back on anyone. And also.." Raven waved her hand over Penny's face, casting it into a dark shadow-like shroud.
" This will keep your identity for the most part, a secret so they can't identify you. And I wouldn't recommend using more magic than we have to there either. Again, magic can be traced back" Raven explained as she prepared herself for the Journey.
" Now when we get there, she will be locked within a room. Time moves differently in that room, and she will more than likely be undergoing quite a bit of pain and torture so..we have to do the best we can to be delicate with her. She is going to take some time to recover " Raven explained and Penny agreed to follow the command.
After taking Penny's hand, the two dissapeared and were teleported to a long, dark hallway. The hall was desolate. There seemed to be no Vampires or any guards whatsoever which was slightly concerning to the two. " Something isn't right about this" Raven pointed out as Penny took the handle of the door in front of them and turned it slowly. Once the door had opened, they were greeted with a black abyss of sorts. No light could pierce through it and no sounds could be heard coming from within.
Raven followed Penny inside the room, trying to feel around with their hands for any semblance of a wall but found nothing in the way of guidance.
" Do you think she is really in here? " Penny asked Raven who was stumbling behind Penny, finding her own nerves growing more and more by the second. " I'm not sure but this seemed to be where the person was talking about so she has to be here somewhere..I would think? " As they searched through the abyss, Penny began to worry that they had went to the wrong place. And if they had, this would be even more time wasted which was supremely crucial if they were going to save Ember.
" I just want her back..I have to get her back" Penny said to herself as they finally managed to find a light in the distance. It was the source of light within the entire room and so they began making their way to it.
Though the closer that they approached, the more their fears began to rise. Ember, had been strapped to a wall, and seemed to be unconscious as her head was slumped down. Raven and Penny rushed to Embers side to free her. After undoing the straps, Ember collapsed onto the ground though Penny and Raven had tried their best to catch her.
Penny knelt down and scooped Ember into her arms before allowing Raven to attempt to lead them out of the abyss. " Is she breathing? " Raven called back to Penny who could feel movement against her every so often. " Yeah I think so. But we have to get her out of here. Couldn't I just teleport us away from here? " Penny questioned.
" No. That won't work here. We have to get out of the room first" Raven explained. They traversed the abyss for several minutes before finally finding the exit and entering the hallway again. Once in the hallway, and seeing that it was still empty, Raven placed her hand on Penny's shoulder and they were teleported back to Raven's home.
Ember was placed on a small couch in the living room as Raven ran off to grab something, Penny stayed by Embers side. Seeing that she had no marks on her skin, externally she seemed completely fine. But from Penny understood, the room, the abyss affected the mind and not the body.
Raven returned back to the living room with a small bottle containing what looked to be purple glitter. " What in the heck is that? " Penny asked as she observed the bottle, riddling her brain with how it could possibly be used.
" This, is what I call Witches Dust. It can't prevent what has already happened but this will help her rest easy. It will block what is going through her head at the moment, and will allow for peaceful sleep" Raven opened the bottle and sprinkled some of the purple glitter onto Ember's face. " Was she not sleeping peaceful before? She doesn't seem to be in discomfort? " Penny questioned as she looked back down at Ember. " Think of this like a coma. Right now, she is trapped within her mind and she is fighting against it. So on the outside, it might not seem like it, but internally, it's a battle. This, is just going to allow her body to rest because right now, she is using more energy than you'd think. Which is why she is unconscious right now" Raven explained. " We need to give her some space. It's going to take a while before she is conscious again and I don't know how she will react once she is awake" Raven backed away and motioned for Penny to follow her. " Please be Okay Ember..please.." Penny said as she looked back at her helpless friend.
