POV Folarin

In the afternoon, Valis tried to come up with something to talk about to distract me from talking to Tsuitame and arranging a sparring match.

"Hey, what's your teacher like?" Was one of her frequent questions. "Why don't we settle down for today and try to study some of the basics of that circle magic, or square, you know what I mean?" And even "If we have to spar, why not amongst ourselves? I'm sure you can pose a good enough challenge to me."

The only response I ever gave her was. "There's no need for you to learn ancient magic at the time; your mana pool is sufficient enough for you to cast your own spells, and if you can't cast spells, you can just overwhelm your opponent with the sheer amount of mana you stored within Tsuitame; after all, you saw firsthand how overwhelming strength can easily beat two subpar combatants." Referring to our sessions with Forren.
