Open Market

Qiáng Wangshu and Yáng Chán Juān finally arrived at the open market after walking for almost twenty to thirty minutes

They didn't meet many people on their way, much to Qiáng Wangshu's relief and the short journey was filled with pleasant jokes and aimless conversations between himself and his friend, Chán Juān.

When the arrived at the large space that was set apart from the market, the situation took a dramatic turn from the quite they had a few minutes ago

People if different ages and size walked around buying a selling stuff and Wangshu took in the lively atmosphere

"Earth Grade Low martial skill for sale! Three Hundred Yans, no bargaining!!"

"Earth Grade Low Bone Strengthen Pill on sale for Twenty Yans!"

"Basic Unranked Sword, Five Yans!"

The market was wide and busting with activities. This kind of event only happens once a month on sundays

It was a nightmare for some major people that sells this stuff.

However, the open market day was there to let disciples work hard and not just depend on things they get from the sect to grow stronger. Because everyone looked forward to this event and so worked hard to gather items to sell

The fact that things were sold for twenty percent off the original market price didn't spoil anything either after all as long as there is a discount, there will be buyers!

People were shouting out the names of their items on sales and others were arguing over prices

Yáng Chán Juān pulled Wangshu to a small stall were a few books were arranged on the table

A young woman that looked around thirty years of age quickly greeted them

"Do you wish to buy a skill book? Although they are of low level, they are really useful in combat" she said

In this world, skills were a must have to all martial artist. However, one can only find the lowest of the lowest rank of skill books in markets like this

This was because these kind of skills are very low and pretty much useless in combat and to and against those above the Foundation Realm

So when the woman said they were useful in combat, Qiáng Wangshu could only roll his eyes

The woman however didn't pay him any attention as her eyes were on Yáng Chán Juān

The reason for this was the Qiáng Wangshu was a person who couldn't cultivate or practice any martial arts. From birth, his Marginals have been destroyed and his hearth and body were very weak so he often fell seriously I'll.

Even worst, Qiáng Wangshu wasn't a member of the Yáng Family. His last name was different and even though he was adopted into the family a long long time ago, his last name never changed

The whole situation surrounding his adoption was a mystery but one thing was for sure. Qiáng Wangshu was a trash and the disciples made sure he remembered that.

The fact that he was purposely being ignored didn't bother him anymore. As Chán Juān and the woman talked, Wangshu looked through the skill books. On a normal, he would have been insulted and chased away but since the daughter of an important figure was with him, the stall owner didn't dare act rashly.

{Basic Foundation Building Skill}

{Basic Footwork Skill}

{Fundamental Fist Fighting Skill}

{Basic Guide to Qi Gathering}

All the skills were the basics every new martial artists or cultivator sould learn.

"I want this one" Yáng Chán Juān's voice suddenly entered his ear

Wangshu turned his attention from the skill books he was looking at and looked at the one she was wanted

{Basic Guide to Swordmanship}

Wangshu raised an eyebrow

"You want to learn Swordmanship? I didn't know you wanted to learn how to use the sword" he said

Yáng Chán Juān's eyes twisted and she glared at him

"You idiot, you know I don't want to learn to use swords. I bought this skill for you!" she scolded

Qiáng was not at all shocked by this explanation. It was really like her and all his other friends to do something like this. Sometimes, he wondered if they forget he couldn't cultivate when they buy this skills but in the end, they were always skills that someone who couldn't cultivate could learn

For example, the sword skill she was holding didn't require one to be a cultivator or have Qi to learn. It was an ordinary sword skill that does not have a lot of power but was useful against a Foundation Realm Cultivator anyways. After all, a sword would always be a sword

Qiáng Wangshu shook his head

"No. You should return it" he said. He didn't refuse the skill because he didn't want it. He refused it because that skill would cost at least five Yans.

Chán Juān only had a hundred Yans on her. If she wasted five now and ended up finding something she wanted but didn't have enough money to buy, Wangshu won't know where to hide his face

Yáng Chán Juān already expecting this reply dropped the book back on the table. "Whatever, I've already paid for it anyway" she said and began walking away

Wangshu's eyes widened. She was just going to leave it after buying it?! He quickly grabbed the skill book, said a quick sorry to the glaring stall owner and rushed after Chán Juān

The two wandered around till the sun began to set before a disciple came to collect Chán Juān on her father's request

Qiáng Wangshu was left on his one and he looked at the sword skill he was holding. Chán Juān had bought a few bone strengthen pills and a necklace she just couldn't take her eyes off

"Better get back now" Qiáng Wangshu said and turned back to return to his little home.

"Brother Wangshu, are you leaving so soon? The day is still young, why don't you stay for a while" a cold familia voice soundly entered Wangshu's ears and he froze on his the spot

Seven young men walked out from the crowd and surrounded him.

Almost instantly, the others disciples made a wide circle around them as if waiting for a good show

Qiáng Wangshu's fingers tightened around the book and he cursed inwardly

"Yáng jùn jié..."
