"It's so damn hot!" I grumbled and wiped the dripping sweat from my face.
I was positioned in the rear along with the wagons carrying our supplies as we travel to Morvall, along with Alper and the other knights. While, Raphael was position in the front, accompanying the commander and the vice-commander.
I squint my eyes as I hatefully look at the scorching sun.
Should I use my divine powers to cast a cooling spell? But, on second thought it's such a waste to use divine power in that way, casting a heat-resistant spell is way better.
Oneiroi was right, I was able to gain power the more I dream. It was during my personal training, when I noticed a familiar power within me.
I didn't hesitate to check it, and I found out that I gained a fraction of Saintess Lucia's divine powers.
Surprisingly, Divine Magic is quite versatile, contrary to what I knew. I read about a book explaining the details of divine powers that were uncommon to people.
Divine magic is magic in which spells and powers are granted from a powerful entity to a lesser being.
Despite its name, the source of divine powers can be quite unholy, or the spells could theoretically be granted by a being who became very powerful through the use of arcane magic.
Generally speaking, divine magic is capable of attaining effects far greater and stronger than those that can be achieved by most magic wielders, due to the greater power and understanding of the entity granting the spells.
I remember that the of Saintess Lucia's divine magic is from Alsia, the goddess of Light. And since the source of the power is from a holy being, it would be a great advantage to me to use it during this monster hunting in Morvall.
Luckily, I was able to find my divine power early, allowing me to have enough time to learn skills that would be useful in combat.
"Halt! We're stopping here for today," Commander Ascot ordered. It was nearly dusk, and it's now their third time camping in the middle of nowhere.
The knights started to build a camp a few meters away from the road. I went deeper into the nearby forest to gather firewood for us to use. I started gathering some fallen branches and twigs on the ground, when Alper came and approach me.
"Sigh... one more night of camping before we arrived at Morvall," He said as he picked up the firewood that I gathered.
"I got used to staying in the capital to the point that I needed to familiarize myself again in sleeping outside."
"Heh...luckily, I was able to adjust immediately," I smirked and lifted the remaining firewood.
We saw our companions lighting a fire as soon as we arrived at the camp. Alper and I put down the firewood beside Hellio, who assigned himself as tonight's cook.
"What are you making?"
"Stew!" He proudly said in a beat.
"Again!?"
"Then don't eat." Hellio kicked his tongue and glared at Alper.
"I'm sure that'll be delicious," I commented.
Hellio stared at me sharply, "You're going to get an extra chunk of meat in your bowl tonight, Krynt."
I laughed at his remark, but I got interrupted immediately when a thick arm suddenly wrapped around my shoulder.
"What the--!" My face contorted when I suddenly tasted a sour flavor exploding in my mouth.
Ptooo!
"Blergh, the hell is that?" I quickly spit it on the ground.
I immediately took the waterskin that was strapped on my waist to wash my mouth with water.
"It's a sour berry. Pfft, hahaha! You should've seen your face. It's hilarious." He cackled while slapping my shoulder.
I glared at the laughing face of Raphael, "Will you stop shoving stuff in my mouth, you damned bastard. What if it's poison."
"Don't worry, if I feed you poison, you would've died a long time ago. Hahaha."
"Wow, that's really reassuring," I sarcastically replied, and wiped my mouth using my sleeve.
"You know, if I didn't know that Raphael has a fiancée, I'll definitely think that you two are in some kind of weird relationship," Hellio commented nonchalantly, while putting the chunks of meat in the pot. Leaving the three of us with a hardened face, and stopping Raphael's cackling.

I stretched my body to keep myself awake, as I stood up to guard in the deep night.
The dark sky was decorated with numerous stars, revealing a magnificent sight to behold.
I couldn't help but to open my mouth in awe.
It is difficult to see this kind of view on Earth, because of the towering buildings and clouded sky.
My dad was always been fascinated of the stars, he likes to go to the observatory to sight see using those humongous telescopes. He always takes me and Mathieu with him every time.
When we were kids, dad bought a galileoscope, and we watch him build it with curiosity. After that, we drove out of the city to find a perfect place to stargaze. We also stopped by at a nearby fast food for dinner before we went home.
I had a great time that day, and it still remained as one of my best memories with him.
"Oh!" I gasped in amazement when I saw hundreds of shooting stars crossing the night sky.
A meteor shower!
'Ah, I wonder if dad saw this scenery too when he was still alive.'
Seeing sceneries that are rare and impossible to see in Earth is definitely one of the perks of being a dreamer. Maybe this is also one of the reasons why dad became a dreamer.
I didn't avert my eyes from the sky, while imagining that my father is also standing beside me watching this incredible view.
As I lost myself watching the sky, a cold chill suddenly prickled the back of my neck. My body went on guard instantly, and I turned to my back to check what it is.
"Did you feel that?" Garon asked.
He was dozing off earlier, but he has awoken instantly after sensing something.
"Yeah." I unsheathed my sword and took a fighting stance.
I felt this feeling before. It's not as intense as what I experienced from the demon that I fought before as Saintess. However, I am sure that it's undoubtedly a killing intent.
"It's gone," Garon informed.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, it's certainly gone. It's as if someone released that intent in a spur of moment." He nodded in confirmation.
Garon withdraw his stance and sheathed his sword back, then sat on the huge rock to doze off.
I couldn't lower my guard after sensing that killing intent. I had a strong hunch that the murder intent is directed to me.
Oneiroi's words popped up in my head, warning me.
"Listen up, dreamer, you need to be careful...just watch your back and stay vigilant."
"Tch!" I wiped my face in frustration, "Dammit! Krynt, who the hell wants you dead?"
