"What do we do now?" Zander asked. Alanna was beside him, looking at the headless body of Gaelach.

"I'm going after my son and you, Zander, get back to the pack. I know the Gamma and the Delta are well prepared, but they cannot compare to you. I'm afraid that Dante or any other greedy Alpha decides to attack us, once they get to know our current situation."

"Are you going alone?" He asked.

"What? Are you worried about me?" She asked. Zander was about to say that yes, he was, but then, he looked at Gaelach. He swallowed hard. Alanna didn't have to roar to show her power. And that look and smile of hers after she killed the wolf… no, she knew very well how to defend herself.

"Not really. You are not what I could call 'defenseless', are you, now?" He asked. "but you're still my Luna, and I worry about your well-being."
