Faolán reached out to touch the surface of the mirror. Alanna was more than apprehensive.

"No!" She said before he finished his action. Let me do it."

"What if it hurts you?" He asked. "Better hurt me then."

"No way I'll let it happen!" she complained. "Aside from that thing Morana did to me, I'm tougher than you are. If it burns, for example, I'll recover quickly. You won't." She said.

Faolán didn't like being put in that position, but he knew she was right.
