CHAPTER 7 - THE BEGINNING

"Well, maybe that's how it is," Ginny replied.

"After this rest, you have to go to the office early in the morning,"

"You really don't regret your decision to keep Fiona?" Ginny was worried again.

Ivanka patted Ginny's shoulder lightly. "I told you that I would really take care of your daughter with all my heart. You don't have to worry about that,"

"Thank you, Iv."

"Stop saying thanks, Ginny. You've said it a million times." Ivanka said with a small laugh.

Ginny laughed. "But I really want to say it."

"Yes, yes, yes. I understand." Ivanka said. "Now I'm going home and coming back tomorrow. Rest assured, you'll be fine."

"Yes, I understand, Iv."

Ivanka nodded slowly and then went outside to go back to her own house.

The hustle and bustle of Tuesday morning at The Royal in fact couldn't cover Ginny's annoyance at the damn lawyer who again ordered Dave to come see her.

"Especially?" Ginny asked fiercely.

"Custody of Fiona, I mean... Ginny, listen to me. Can't you two just be together?" Peter, the lawyer who handled Ginny's divorce, and Dave also tried to negotiate.

"What? Are you crazy? No!" Ginny balked at what Peter had just told her.

"Dave will do anything to get what he wants,"

Ginny laughed in disbelief at what Peter had just said. "Did I mishear?"

"Ginny, I'm serious. I'm saying this because I'm your friend," said Peter.

"Friend you say? The friend who came here presumptuously with the file, the divorce file that I have to sign?" asked Ginny irritably. "Aren't you ashamed to tell me that after you've clearly spoken to Dave first and taken his side." Ginny added.

"Ginny, this is my job," Peter defended.

"I know, and actually I'm not even saying that because I need a defense." said Ginny. "Listen, Peter. Tell your friends that I'm not giving up my custody to that bastard Dave at all!" Ginny snorted. "One more thing, say it clearly, as clearly as possible to him."

"But you've been busy all this time. Dave will use that excuse in court,"

Ginny could no longer hold back the other curse she had been holding back from coming out of her mouth. "If that human knows himself, he clearly knows why I'm working so hard."

"I know," Peter answered quietly.

"Then? What else did you expect? You're really crazy that you've defended that bastard, Peter." Ginny said in a high-pitched tone.

"Ginny, to be honest I initially refused all of this. But because ..." Peter's words were cut off when someone knocked on Ginny's office door.

"Let's end this here, Peter. I would never agree to anything silly Dave wants." said Ginny. "We will discuss it in court if Dave is not satisfied with what I gave to you. So now, you may leave from here, because as you can see I am very busy."

With a sorry look Peter nodded his head and shook Ginny's hand professionally.

Then Ginny smiled as she watched her secretary come inside.

"What is it?" Ginny asked kindly.

"I heard Ivanka is no longer your personal assistant and all her work..."

"Don't worry, your job won't increase just because Ivanka no longer works here. I can do what Ivanka should do," Ginny replied.

"Ah...sorry,"

"It's all right. I totally understand why you're asking me that. You know, it all happened so fast." Ginny said with an encouraging smile, even though she should be the one getting the smile. "I'm so glad you all are still here even though our company is in trouble,"

"Gosh, Mrs Albright... "

"It's ok, it's ok," Ginny smiled again. "So that's all you're going to say?" Ginny asked.

"Actually, there's someone waiting for you outside. Would you mind meeting someone you haven't made an appointment with yet?"

"Oh, who? Do I know him?"

"I know you probably know him very well, he... "

"May I come in?" asked someone who suddenly poked his head behind the door with a big smile.

Ginny looked at the man's face and then a second later she looked at her secretary with a questioning look: what is that man?

Ginny's personal secretary nodded her head as she looked at Ginny fearfully.

"Since when?" Ginny whispered.

"Since thirty minutes ago," she answered.

"So can I come in?" the man who was still outside asked again.

"Gosh, come on in." Ginny answered resignedly. While his private secretary went outside.

"Nice to see you again, Mrs Albright,"

"You can call me Ms." Ginny answered.

"But I thought you were married,"

"I have been and have been divorced," Ginny said flatly. "Ok, I think something very important brought you here, Mr. Cho,"

"Ah ..." Hendry Cho cheered with a sign of understanding. "Actually there's something very important, and I'm sure you'll agree to it."

"Wow, you're so confident when you say that to me," Ginny said casually.

Hendry just smiled when he heard Ginny say that, Ginny was a very attractive woman to him. Beautiful, tough and also always fighting to get what she wants to get.

Hendry was absolutely sure that something was wrong with the case that befell Ginny's company now. But he still didn't know what had happened.

"I think I always have to be confident, especially in the presence of such a great career woman."

"Thank you I am flattered,"Ginny nodded respectfully.

"Sorry if this is a little presumptuous, but, can I ask you out tonight?"

Ginny was a little surprised by Hendry's sudden invitation.

"But I have explained to you and rejected you flatly, that I certainly will not give or transfer my company to you,"

Henry smiled. "It's not about The Royal,"

"So?" Ginny was on high alert. She raised her eyebrows high and cleared her throat to control her emotions.

"I just want to get to know you better," said Hendry. "Honestly, I adore you." Henry added.

"But I'm not that easy," said Ginny.

"I know it,"

"Then why do you still want to approach me? I even rejected you the other day,"
