~ Hours before sunrise ~
Wen woke up early before sunrise. His body slightly ached but soon regained strength as he sat up to ready himself for the day. Sitting on the edge of his bed, he lifted his right arm and stuck up his middle finger in front of his face, displaying a slightly transparent ring.
As he thought of it, a scroll appeared in his left hand.
=====
[ 2: Brandon Dee Boles
*Picture of target* Description: Blonde curly hair, tall, handsome-ish face. ("Wow, for dad to be calling him at least handsome-ish, that's kind of a huge compliment due to his self-esteem," Wen thought.)
Reason: His family killed 13 families (43 people) for no good reason. Also assassinated 2 disciples of the Divine Sword sect because they made him fail his exam to be an inner disciple.
Background: Son of a rich businessman in the 'cultivation world'. Be careful when killing him, his death would send slight aftershocks to the sect, hide your face. He recently failed his 3rd attempt at being an inner disciple due to a lack of sword talent however, his roommate is a 2nd Golden Core so it won't be too easy.
Cultivation: 2nd Golden Core
Age: 17
Outer Disciple; Room #73, 1st building, boys division ]
=====
"2nd Golden Core might be a problem. Talen wasn't that hard to beat because we were only using swords, he also probably lowered his cultivation to mine..." Wen lazily started assessing everything he just read.
"His roommate seems like he might be a problem, I might have to kill both of them, if I can, that is. However, if my mask is seen, then the sect would obviously suspect me so it might increase the difficulty, or I might have to change some things up..."
*\
"Excuse me, brother, would you mind me asking you where the 1st building is?"
A disciple turned around under the dim lamplight. "Huh, what for?" The disciple suspiciously asked back.
"I and one of my new friends who's in the 1st building were going to the tavern, however, I'm kind of new to this sect so I need help from time to time," Wen awkwardly smiled.
The disciple stared at Wen for a moment. Although he had no mask, because of the dark, dimly lit torches and the fact that he lowered his head made his face indistinguishable. "I um, it's over there," The disciple pointed off in the distance.
"Thanks," Wen shortly replied, giving off the impression that he wanted to stop talking.
*\
A few lamps were lit inside the huge building. A figure was casually walking as if he owned the place. He wore a long black cloak with a sword hanging on his waist. At first glance, one might think he's an assassin, but an assassin would quietly kill their target. Wen, however, would most likely have to clash.
There were two reasons because of this. One, he wanted to see how strong he was, and second, the enemy's cultivation surpassed his and would most likely hear him coming, as he had no way to actually stealthily sneak into their rooms. If he tried getting in by the windows, it would be too noticeable.
We finally found the room. "Room seventy-three," He whispered to himself. "Time to die..."
[ Slice of Light!]
-Sssk!
Because of Wen's knowledge and strength, instead of producing a loud sound, his hit had actually sliced right through the door!
-Shhiing!
"Who's there!" Two voices instantly sounded as swords were unsheathed.
'Damnit, they're too loud, I can at the very least give them a quick painless death,' Wen thought.
And without hesitating a second more, he ran straight at the two sword-wielding cultivators.
-Clang!
Wen's sword had randomly aimed at one of the two but he was caught in a standstill with someone he didn't recognize! 'This person is probably the roommate!'
"What are you here for!?" The roommate yelled.
Wen barely struggled and quickly summoned another sword. He was now holding one broadsword and a saber.
-Clang!
Behind him, the second person had attacked! Luckily Wen had already thought of the possibility and drew out his saber. 'I won't be able to hold this for long, my attacks will be weaker than theirs because I'm only using one arm while they're using both arms for one sword.'
-Clang Clang!
-Spplurt!
"ARGGH!"
At last, Wen's broadsword had actually hit something! It had sliced off one of the roommate's fingers! Wen inwardly grimaced at the sight.
"You'll pay!" The roommate hollered. Brandon grimaced but continued to harass Wen with all his strength.
However, things weren't going to be "easy-going" anymore, because their enemy had just gained a speed boost!
"What the f*ck! How is he getting stronger?!" Brandon yelled to his roommate.
"I-I don't know!" The roommate yelled, desperately defending Wen's attacks.
Wen quickly thought of something and ran behind the roommate's back.
-Clang!
"F*cking coward! Fight us both at once! You dared to come but don't dare to fight us both?" The roommate had successfully blocked the first hit, but his arm nearly numbed after feeling the strength behind the attack! The roommate's face flushed red as the strength seemed to be increasing.
Wen had decided to only focus on one of them. If he continued to fight both of them, even with his newfound speed, the best that would happen was for him to be able to run away! However, although only focusing on only one of them was risky, because of his speed, it would be the best decision!
-Spplurt!
A line of blood spilled onto the floor, Wen had successfully sliced the roommate's arm!
-Clang!
The next set of swords that clanged surprisingly was not with the roommate's but instead with Brandon's! At least the target didn't run away like a coward, even though he probably going to die.
-Clang Clang!
Every time the roommate's and Brandon's swords were swung at Wen, he had successfully blocked every single hit, not faltering even for a second!
Though something did change ever so slightly. Wen's movement started getting desperate for a hit, although it was unnoticeable at first, the two roommates started to notice it.
-CLANG!
'This kid, he's getting desperate for a hit, it might be what keeps making him faster!' The roommate thought. The roommate slightly glanced at Brandon, who was also starting to notice Wen's desperate hits.
'Nearly one minute has passed!' Wen inwardly yelled. 'I need a hit!' Wen started to increase his speed... 'These guys are good working together, I don't think I can kill the roommate first though since he's stronger than the target.'
It wasn't long before Wen could hear multiple rushed footsteps coming into the room.
'Damnit, I haven't had much time to refine it but here it goes...'
[2nd Form: Light Layer!]
In an instant, Wen's sabers started glowing in an instant, temporarily blinding everyone.
Just from swinging his swords a little bit, he could feel that his swords had gotten lighter amidst the bright glare and also, a little sharper, based on how smoothly the blade moved, even though it was affected just a little bit.
-CLANG!
-Sppluurt!
Wen quickly glanced at his sword which grazed the roommate's chest some.
"H-hey, we can talk!" The roommate desperately cried in pain as he fell down.
Wen turned his attention to the target and noticed an opening, he kicked down the target at his knees, making a small 'crack' sound.
-Crack!
The target screamed in pain. "F*ck you! My Boles family will kill you and your family!" He screamed continuously.
Wen turned his attention to the roommate who had fallen down on his bottom and swiftly stabbed the roommate's limbs three times before penetrating his chest, hitting his heart, and killing him.
-Step step!
The footsteps increased in speed and number as seconds went on. Wen wildly swung one of his swords and decapitated the target.

-Whoosh~!
"Who's there!"
No sound replied to the owner of the voice.
"EEEEEEKKK!" The disciple screamed upon walking inside the room.
*
Thump.Thump.Thump.
Upon killing the two disciples, Wen's heart explosively beat as he thought of a question. 'How come I don't feel any emotions after killing? What is wrong with me?'
