The gun to my head was at faults. It wasn't my fault, it was his.
The pale white room was blinding at first. The lights were drooping ever so slightly, and the ground was tiled white. Not the pure clean white, but white. Well, more like a grey. But it doesn't matter does it? The room was relatively clean anyways. But it's not like you'll notice. No one ever does.
Waking up on a Sunday morning (or is it Saturday? Or maybe it's Monday?) at 8:00am in the morning, hearing virtually nothing isn't so calming as you would think. There's an eerie sort of silence to it. No vague noises behind the chipped doors, No muffled footsteps, no chirping birds. It's like everyone has disappeared.
My back was sore as I slowly, and painfully rose from the cot. It's 8:01 now. My head feels light, and my vision is going blurry. Warily, I pushed the bleach coloured duvet away, the stench making me feel nauseous. I looked around. Great, it's 8:09 now.
I traipsed to the door. I reached in to pull it open, but the wooden knob just broke off. "Great." I sighed. I kicked open the door, and saw virtually nothing. It turns out, the door lead to nowhere. Scientifically speaking, nowhere doesn't exist. I just don't know where I am.
Outside the hospital room was a barren plain, with razor-sharp rocks to the left of me. As far as I could see, no trees were around. There was dirt though, that was a start. I trudged through the mud. It was at that moment that I heard scuffled footsteps, and hushed voices.
Creeping swiftly, I headed for a large looking boulder from where the noise was coming from, and hid.
"No-No, no, no, no! Not like this please," they pleaded. "
"I'm sorry! I won't- AHHH- I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY! PLE-!" A gunshot. And another one.
The person was cackling. They just killed an innocent. What happened while I was gone? What has the world turned into. I had to escape and move on before they come to me. I started analysing my surroundings. A boulder, to the left, with a waterfall gushing mud nearby. Gods. How do I escape on open plain?
Looking around, I could make out a shed in the distance. Not the best place, but worth a shot at survival. I slowly crept to the shed, my back against the jagged rocks, it scratching into my skin. It'll heal soon I hope. I heard something, and I turned around.
A hand clasped over my mouth, and I was shoved, the arm pinning my body against the stone-cold rocks.
"Going somewhere, Princess?"
