Broken Promise

"Rue, are you sure it's fine? You seems not in a right condition yet," Camie asked while watching her classmates fix her hair.

"I told you, I'm fine. It's just a slight fever and a few hours of date isn't a big deal besides the two of you drag me on this matter without my permission."

Camie and Ashley gaze at each other before they heaves a deep sigh.

It's already 4 o'clock in the afternoon, one hour before the closing ceremony for their one week school anniversary celebration.

Most of the students are watching the performance of the school bands in the school field. They made a mini-stage for them to perform and it's for the purpose of closing ceremony too. It's not required to attend the performance so Kinrue's classmates used that spare time to prepare for their group date later.

As soon as she leave the infirmary, they drag her back to their classroom. They fix her hair and put some make-up on that made her uncomfortable, but she's not on the mood to argue with anyone. She don't want to waste any of her energy left.

There's only five of them inside their classroom, Kinrue sits silently in a chair facing her other classmate while Camie and Ashley watching her with worried face. Even on the third floor of the building, they can hear the loud cheering of the students on the ground floor and the band song their playing. She heard the four women talking about the other group they about to meet later, the facial features, school they attend to, and the status they have, but nothing came inside her mind.

Despite the noises coming left and right of her ears, her mind still as blank as a white paper. The conversation she had with Raven still lingers in her mind like a loop.

"Oh, I heard there's another man who's going to replace one of their member. He suddenly got a cold so he begs his cousin to attend instead of him." Cassandra said, one of her classmate.

"Are you desperate to have a boyfriend?" Camie asked, sarcastically. She looked at them in disbelief.

"You're a killjoy, don't you know how amazing it is to have a boyfriend? Why don't you asked Kinrue? She's in a relationship with Rave—" Kathy, one of her classmates stop from talking with a wide open eyes.

The four look at each other in surprise before turning to her direction.

"Oh my gee! I didn't realize it until now. You're Raven Auclair's girlfriend. What if he notice that we force you to have a date with someone?"

"No. I don't want to be an enemy of Auclair's family heirs, but we can't back out now."

"Sorry guys, I didn't realize it too until now." Camie said, facepalming herself.

"Well, as long as no one will tell him everything's alright, right? Let's just hide it from him. You should cooperate too, Kinkin."

Kinrue look at them before standing up. "It's nothing to worry about. We're doomed to break up so let's just enjoy this moment."

They give her a disbelief look and sigh as disapproval on her words.

Amidst the situation they're in, they heard someone knock on the back door.

All of them turn to one direction and saw Raven standing with emotionless face, behind him is Mirko and Callie laughing on each other. Besides Kinrue, the other four women gasps and freeze on their position as soon as they saw Raven staring at them. No one wants to move to asks what they want, but rather try hard avoiding his gazes by doing unnecessary movement that made Kinrue sigh.

Instead of pushing them to talk to Raven's group, she volunteer to do the job.

She walk towards the back door, maintaining a right distance between them. Mirko and Callie stop from talking and look at her, but she rolled her eyes on them and gaze straight to Raven's eyes.

"Don't you see we're busy here? What do you want?" She asked in a cold tone, but Raven frown while looking at her face. "Hey, are you deaf? I asked you a question so better answer me."

"What's on your face?" He's about to touch her face, but Kinrue slap it away, giving him a death glare.

"It's a make-up."

"Who put that d*mned make-up on you?"

His stern voice made the four women on the back flinches. They feel like there's a hundred of needles stabbing their body through someone gaze.

"It's none of your business so tell me, what do you want from us?"

"Are you going somewhere?"

"What the heck? You should scram before I lost my temper."

"Excuse me, I don't want to interfere on your conversation, but it's getting longer so I'll tell you instead of him." Callie said, walking in between them.

They glare at each other for a few seconds that made the atmosphere cold.

Callie look at her from head to toe before she heard a mocking laugh coming from her mouth. She clench her fists to suppress her anger and look away. Nevertheless, her insulting laugh continue that she can't take it any longer and slap her face like a gush of wind.

An awkward silence came in between of them. There's a shock on Callie's face as her wide open eyes quivers and hands shudders while touching her left cheek. She turn to her with disbelief and as it last longer, it turns to a rage gaze as if she's ready to kill her on the spot.

"Is it fun laughing at me?" Kinrue asked with a smirk pasted on lips.

"Are you nuts? You always end up in violence, you crazy woman." Callie's right hand landed on Kinrue's face. It made her take a step back.

Camie and Ashley saw it and rush over to their direction to help their friend, but Kinrue gives a sign to stop so they did.

They end up glaring to the woman as they clenches both fists.

"Your hand is hard as your face, what a disappointment, right? An angelic face like yours is one of your facades to lure everyone. A total definition of a dirty elite." She said.

Kinrue's about to approach her, but Raven pull Callie to his back and slap Kinrue's face out of nowhere with raging eyes.

Unlike before, it made her fall on the ground.

It stings, it hurts, it's seems like a steel just hit her face.

She touch her face in disbelief while staring on the ground. Before she notice it, her tears falls down. Instead of a wail, she gives a force laugh.

Ashley came towards her out of worry, despite of shock on Raven's action while Camie take a step in between the two, facing Raven with death glare. Without any warning, she punch his face not once, but twice. It made him fall on the ground while Callie supporting his back. Camie's about to grab his collar to punch him again, but Mirko and the other two women who left dumbfounded of the unexpected situation hurry over their direction to stop her from attacking the man.

"Camie, you should stop before someone came here. Do you know Raven's reputation here in school? You'll get expelled." Kathy said, holding one of her arms.

"Kathy's right dumbass! Don't cause any ruckus." Cassandra almost shouted with both eyes closed trying hard to stop her other arm.

"L-Listen to your classmates, we're not here to fight."

"What? You're not here to fight? Do you know that Rue's still sick? Why do you mock her even without doing anything? Don't f*cking tell me that you're an elite so I can't hurt you. D*mned that caste system. I'll buried you both alive. Let go of me."

"Hey, you foul-mouthed brat, know your position. It seems like the three of you live up to your name. There's a CCTV here, I can easily get all of you expelled from this school." Callie said, glaring at them.

Before Camie can talk back, she saw Kinrue walk in front of her. She glance to her and nod as assurance. Without a word, she yanks her hand from the grip of her classmates and take a step back while looking away, bite her lower lip to restrain herself.

"It looks like you're too ahead of yourself, Ms. Callie Leroux. Well, if you have guts to do so then, don't make my friends suffer and just let me get expelled, alone. There's no way we can get along besides, I'll never win against someone like you in Raven's eyes. Am I right, Mr. Auclair?" She gaze down towards Raven, who flinches because of the words she utter. "This is the second time you slapped me hard because of the same woman, it d*mned hurts, you know."

"N-no... I-I didn't mean..."

"Didn't mean, what? You slapped me with your bare hands because I talk sh*ts about your woman, the same way I did when you slapped me for the first time. It's sad to think, you're the one who always broke promises between us. Suit yourself, let's break up." She give a short smile before looking at the shock face of Callie. "Let's go guys, it seems like they come here for the closing ceremony. I don't want to waste my energy anymore."

She's about to walk, but Raven grab her hands. "W-wait. I-I really didn't mean to hurt you..."

"You still hurt me, what's the difference. Don't act like our break up was a big deal, you have a woman behind you. You're a better fit, I'll support it so stay away from me." She take back her hands and continue to walk while the other women follows her.
