"W-why are you both here?" Berto asked.

His heart automatically beat fast the moment he found out that Ethel and Christopher were waiting for him at the lodge. He was still on duty and wondered what else the others had brought for him.

"We can't contact Mila; she hasn't got home since she went to work." Ethel stated.

"B-but didn't you say, ah! Wait!"

Berto rushed back to his locker to get his watch and phone. Ethel and Christopher just followed him and felt relieved that Berto would know where Mila went.

"Mila didn't text me. Are you sure she's missing and not just at her work?" Berto asked as soon as he checked his phone. He and Mila rarely text each other, especially when they are working. It is also not strange to stay at work for that long, so Berto finds nothing strange yet.

  "We don't have any means to confirm if she's safe. That is why we came here, uncle."
