We jumped in the Iraqi forest, a few meters away there is an outpost, I've already prepared myself for the worst, and from my past experiences, this doesn't even come close to my worst-case imagination.

Attention unit, escort formation, assault team in front, the medical team in the middle, scouts advance, my team behind, ready to advance.

The scouts soon found an Iraqi outpost, the army too loose for us to attack.

"Soldier Johnson, where are the firing positions?"

"Sir! the possible firing positions are here in the north, there in the south and here in the west, the easiest and there in the south, and the west, here in the north there is very little vision because of the location of the outpost"

"We're not going too far! We can't waste time, the Gulf War waits for no one, superiors need us to launch an attack to take Saddam Husseim out of power, I'm going to shoot!!"

"Yes sir! Captain, there are six soldiers at the outpost, they use landlines, I've already cut the cables, you can shoot at will!"

"Thank you, soldier!"

Right after these words, I went to the North location, calculated the wind speed, air humidity, distance, and located the target, seconds later a sound was heard in the silent forest.

"Isaac Johnson, it wasn't six, it was seven, one was targeting us! Pay attention to your surroundings, see beyond the common view, for one mistake could cost our men their lives and the mission!"

"Yes, sir Captain Bell!" Isaac says with shame.

"Very well, get the supplies from the outpost, see if there are maps with the other outposts or the base where the nuclear scientists are."

"Yes, sir captain," everyone says at the same time.

We advanced little by little, and I showed my team my hunting and tracking skills, my shooting skills were a show because I didn't miss a shot, the day went like this, we killed and looted every outpost we found, then we found a map with the base marked on it.

The base is located in the middle of the forest, surrounded by outposts and two checkpoints, with heavy weaponry and garrison of weapons and ammunition, at least there are more than two hundred soldiers in this base, the plan has now changed, we are the hunt.

I ordered the men to leave a trail as we climbed the hill towards the base, right next to the first control center I gave the order.

" Private Rowan, plant the explosives at the checkpoint ahead while they hunt us, Private Campbell, you will draw the attention of enemy soldiers as bait, Private Johnson, you are responsible for our medics, if anything happens to them, we will all die, failures will not be allowed!"

"Yes, sir captain!!"

The first part of the plan was implemented, the soldiers hunted Frankie while Nez planted the explosives in key positions of the structures I indicated, after placing explosives in the two command posts, we went to the foot of the base and started the second phase of the plan.

"Very well, everything went well, now it's time to start the second phase of my plan. Private Rowan, please blow everything up, when the explosion happens, we will infiltrate the base and find the nuclear scientists and, if possible, bring them back, Private Rowan, now!!!"

"Yes sir!!"

Two big devastating explosions happened at the same time, I didn't expect the explosions to be so strong, it really caught me off guard, but I soon adapted and told everyone to move on, plans remain the same, we killed everyone who got in the way and planted explosives in key locations.

The base took me by surprise, this place is not a prison, it's a chemical and nuclear weapons research center, it's not possible to blow everything up, the plan will be discarded, now it's time to improvise.

"Alright soldiers, throw away the plan! It's time to improvise, you already know what the mission's priority is, go and find the scientists, I'll be the bait!!"

"Captain, you are the mission engineer, if something happened to the scientists and they set up the bomb, you are the one who will dismantle it, how are you going to be the bait?" Nez Rowan asks.

"Good question! I'll still be the bait, but you'll keep me informed over the radio, if the bomb is armed, you'll guide me to it and I'll dismantle it."

"Yes sir!!" everyone responded at the same time

"Soldiers advance! Don't forget that the fate of two or more countries is in our hands, if Saddam Husseim gets his hands on nuclear weapons, humanity will be in danger of extinction!"

My unit came in from the sides and I stayed out, went to a high point overlooking the entrance to the building, threw some grenades to get attention, then it rained bullets on me, I went into hurricane mode and swept the enemies, while I kept the occupied Iraqi soldiers, my unit was advancing unconcerned into the enemy base.
