Chapter 15

For two days in a row, Ava's condition was not very good. Even in the important meetings of the company, she was constantly distracted. In her mind, she always thought of Allen and everything that happened recently.

Why was it that the more she wanted to know Allen, the more mysterious he was?

"Ms. Smith! Ms. Smith!"

"Ah... What, what is it?"

"This is the list of the latest batch of drugs from Jansen Medical Inc. You need to take a look in person. The other party is waiting for our reply. We can't delay it any longer."

Ava nodded, quickly clearing her mind off Allen, and picked up the document. Suddenly, there was news on her phone.

"There is a gangster in Dallas hospital with a knife. Dr. Peterson is brave enough to fight for a just cause. He has several knives in his body!"

Ava suddenly stood up and because she was in a hurry, she did not notice that the document got torn.

Dr. Peterson!

Allen!

Stunned for two seconds, she rushed out of the meeting room, leaving behind the stunned staff.

There was a loud bang, and it began to rain cats and dogs!

Ava stepped on the accelerator and sped up. She almost crashed several times just so she could rush into the Dallas hospital.

Ava's pale face got into the elevator. Her shaking hands kept pressing the floor button, her left hand dead grasped the corner of her clothes, there's raindrop rolling down her cheeks and her body was constantly shaking because of the cold.

"Mr. Alberts!"

When the elevator door opened, Ava rushed out first.

"How was Allen?"

Ava grabbed a nurse and asked in a loud voice.

The little nurse was scared by Ava's appearance and almost cried out. "Allen... Dr. Peterson..."

"What happened to him?" Ava roared out of her voice.

"He... He just finished the operation and went back to his office."

Ava suddenly felt that her whole strength was evacuated.

"Office... Office!"

Soon she struggled and staggered to Allen's office. She had to see Allen safe.

On the other hand, Allen had just finished the operation and was ready to go back to the office to have a rest.

Next to him was the head nurse, Amanda. After so many days of observation, she can basically conclude that this man was more suitable for her than Darius in terms of character and medical skills.

Although he's married, it didn't prevent her from fighting for happiness.

On the way back to the office, Amanda gave "ouch" and faltered at her feet. Her whole body fell to Allen.

"Head nurse!" Allen instinctively caught her fallen body.

"What happened to you?"

Amanda bit her lips, her eyes were like silk, and she whispered delicately, "Dr. Peterson, I'm not feeling well."

Allen frowned slightly, looked nearby, but no other nurses so he said, "Is the operation time too long? You might have hypoglycemia. Hurry, go to the nurse station and have a rest!"

"No, I can't go. I'm dizzy."

Allen had no choice but to help her to his office, then poured her a glass of water and took out a piece of sugar.

"Have something sweet."

"Thank you, Dr. Peterson!"

All of a sudden, Amanda's eyes suddenly returned to clear and bright, and she pounced on him.

At this time, the door was suddenly opened, Ava saw a scene she would never like to see.

The plump nurse leaned on Allen with a limp body, and her voice called out, "Dr. Peterson..."

Because of the angle, Ava couldn't see Allen's expression.

"You…"

Ava felt that her heart was dripping blood, and there was no blood on her pale face.

The next moment, her mood got out of control and made her completely crumble, and she rushed out of her mind.

Her heart hurts!

Why did she find such a cruel fact when she finally saw in her heart and intended to accept this man?

Ava immediately ran out then into the rain. She wanted to cry, but she couldn't breathe because her heart ached. Her hands tightly grasped her chest. The merciless rain beat on her face.

An ambulance came whistling, and Ava, who was out of her wits, just walked straight!

With the rapid sound of the horn rings, Ava just stared at the rushing ambulance, but didn't move.

Suddenly, a pair of warm hands held Ava from behind to avoid the roaring ambulance.

"You're not going to die!"

A voice of concern ringed out, and Ava looked at the man close at hand.

"Wife, it's not what you think!"

"Pak!"

Crisp slap sound, Ava almost exhausted all her strength.

Allen's cheek was red and his hand didn't move, but he was not angry at all. Instead, he said with a smile, "Let's go home, I'll explain everything to you later."

"You put me down!" Ava struggled and wriggled her body as he carried her. Allen did not let her. At last, he directly resisted Ava and put her on his shoulder then strides to Ava's car.

He fixed Ava on the front passenger and fastened the seat belt. Allen then started the car.

"We really have nothing! Even if I'm a scum, don't I have a brain? Why should I mess around in the daytime? And didn't lock the door? For what? Waiting to be caught? "

Allen said calmly.

Ava was frowning, at the moment her heart had calmed down a little, she's just listening quietly.

"That woman was Amanda, the head nurse there. After the operation today, she said that she was not feeling well. She let me check on her. As soon as she entered the room, she rushed up to me." Said Allen with an innocent face.

"You see, your husband, I'm a white faced scholar. How can I fight that kind of tiger? When I tried my best to resist, you came in. We really have nothing." He then added.

“……”

Back home, Ava shut herself in the room and Allen did not disturb her. This day really gave her too much stimulation. That woman named Amanda was too much.

"Inform Amanda and let her go. I don't want to see that woman again." Allen left his cell phone on the sofa.

Allen gently knocked on the door, and said, "The head nurse Amanda has been expelled from the hospital, if you still don't believe me, you can go to the hospital to inquire. I have a clear conscience. Wife, just trust me, Okay? "

Ava was hiding in the quilt. After she calmed down, she believed most of Allen's words, but the scene at that time made her feel especially distressed. She then tightened her hold on the quilt. She didn't even know why she was so fierce and angry!
