Chapter 6

[Alex's perspective]

"To be honest, I don't know whether telepathy exists or not, but I actually believe it in my heart."

"Well ..."

"A long time ago, I have the ability close to telepathy."

"Ah?"

"What did you say?"

"I can feel other's heartbeat, it’s frequency and feeling."

"Is it for real?"

"Only for my closest relatives."

I didn't tell him that I couldn't feel other people's heartbeats; his was the only one I can feel.

Earlier, when I went to see a doctor, the doctor said that it was just a psychological effect.

I didn't believe the doctor because it's too real.

"I believe you."

The heartbeat returned to its usual beating, and the familiar heartbeat disappeared. I watched Charlie get up,

He adjusted his clothes, and quietly looked at me while lying on the ground. The air suddenly became somewhat embarrassing.

Sitting on the lawn, we talked so much that I don't want to stop.

"Does telepathy exist or not?"

"I don't know, I'm not a scientist. "

I was still thinking about it when I was repairing the car.

"Charlie!"

"The car has been repaired!"

"We can go now."

"OK."

That night, we arrived at the county's hotel.

"What?"

"It’s full?"

"Yes sir, all the rooms in our hotel are fully booked."

"Don't you even have a single available room? "

"I'm terribly sorry, sir. We only have one single room left. Do you want to share a room with the gentleman?

Next to you?"

I rubbed my messy hair.

"OK, OK I'll get that one."

"OK sir, can i have your ID card?"

"It's bad, the house leaks and it rains all night."

I looked for Charlie with my room card and prepared to go back.

"Let's go, its room 301, there is only one single room left, let's just share it."

Walking into the elevator with my luggage, I was still depressed.

"What's the matter?"

"Is sleeping in a room with me makes you angry and disappointed?"

"No, it has nothing to do with you."

"It has nothing to do with me? It’s clear that you have a problem with me since you repaired the car."

"What do you mean?"

I saw that Charlie is angry as if I had seen another person.

"Nothing, nothing."

"What do you mean, nothing?"

"No ..."

Before I finished speaking, the surrounding became dark.

"What happened?"

Charlie seems a little bit flustered.

"I think the elevator is broken. Someone should come to repair it in a while."

I pressed the alarm button of the elevator.

"Don't you think this the right time for telling horror stories?"

"Don't talk nonsense."

"Why? Are you afraid of ghosts?"

I picked my eyebrows.
