Chapter 11

[Alex's perspective]

Charlie pulled me, and when we were about to leave, they stopped us.

"Brother, it's not appropriate to leave just like that."

"Either you tell me who you are or just leave us all alone here."

I spit water and looked at the man in disgust, and said

"Get lost!"

"What did you say!?" said the man in the bar

I grabbed a glass of wine and threw it in front of him and shouted

"Scumbag!"

I also spit a mouthful of saliva.

"Do you want to fight!" then they throw a glass of wine in front of Charlie. I did not expect the situation to turn out like this.

"Oh, Oh." The crowd shouted

"Charlie is not involved here. If you want to fight, just fight ME. "

I was ready to fight them back, but then I realized something and froze.

"So your name is Charlie?" they said while looking at Charlie

I looked at the mess on the ground, I took a deep breath.

"Boy, it's embarrassing."

"His-"

"Ah-"

"Really-"

The crowd was shocked and started whispering.

"Drink." Charlie raised a glass of wine and put it beside him.

"You're Charlie?" said the other guy at the bar.

"Mind your own business. Why are you asking that nonsense?"

"……"

"Do you want to drink or not?"

"……"

"So you don't want to drink? It's fine. Anyway, since you started this mess. I don't mind taking a trip to the police station. "

"No don't bother. We will stop."

Charlie caught a glimpse of them and didn't speak again.

He pulled me out of the bar.

"Thank you... for today..."

"It's nothing."

"I might have been beaten if you haven't arrived..."

"Forget about it. Let’s just go back."

"Am ... okay..."

I did not dare to speak again. I followed him back to the hotel.

"Th... thank you for earlier ..." I repeated

He paused as if stunned.

"Hmm."

The atmosphere was awkward, and I didn't know what to say to ease it.

He opened the door and let me in. I can't help but feel guilty.

We are just fighting earlier, then the next second he saved me. Which made me feel bad.

"How did you ..." "Just now ..."

"You go first." "You go ahead."

We both smiled awkwardly.

"You go ahead," he said to me.

"How did you know I was at the bar?"

"When I am walking at the street looking for you, I saw the bar and thought that you might be there, so I took my chances."

"Well ... thank you for looking out for me."

"It's okay, it was my fault before. If it weren't for me, you will not leave."

I was a little incoherent.

"Well, let's not apologize to each other. You are fine. If they come to you again, call me."

"Okay."

I nodded my head.

"Go to eat something first, and I still have something to do here."

"Okay, I understand that you are busy. I will go down first."

I left the room, went downstairs, found a noodle restaurant and ordered fried noodles, ate some at random, and started to stay.

Chapter12

[Charlie’s POV]

Looking at Alex, who ran away with his temper, I sighed. I really need to look after him.

I want to talk to him, but I didn't know where he was.

Walking at the street, I didn't know where he would go, and I was unsure where to find him.

The neon lights in the city flashed, and the sign of the bar attracted me.

I had a strange feeling that he will be inside.

Sure enough, he was inside.

Looking at them humiliate him, I moved my hands without thinking.

I pushed back other people to settle things. Just when I thought everything went smoothly after that, more trouble came ahead of us.

"Charlie, I think we need to talk," Mary said.

"Talk about what?" I had some doubts.

Mary has been dealing with this matter since that incident happened at the bar came out, and I lost a lot of my endorsement.

"About Alex."

"About Alex? What are you talking about? "

"I think you must dismiss him."

Mary took out his mobile phone from his pocket, searched through the page and read it to me word for word.

"# Charlie fights with local ruffians and hooligans in the bar #, do you know how much this impacted your image?"

"That is my fault, what does this have to do with Alex?"

"Do you think I didn't know? You did this because of Alex."

I got up and picked up a cup of coffee and leaned against the table of the coffee machine.

"I think you must dismiss this assistant who only brings you trouble and all kinds of negative news."

"I think Alex has a potential for this industry."

"He has a potential?"

"Why is this potential causing you so much trouble? It's not an excuse to bring trouble for us."

"He helped me a lot."

"Charlie!"

"No matter what you say, I will keep him," I said firmly.

"Don't be silly. I hope you will consider it carefully. "

"No, I will not consider. I've made up my mind, I want to keep him."

I hope this decision will not impact your career even more."

I looked at Mary and said with a strong attitude. "Is there anything else?"

Mary looked at me, and it seemed that she is angry.

"Are you determined to keep him?"

"Yes."

"Okay, I see." Mary walked away, and Looking at her in the distance makes me feel relieved.

I don't care what will happen in the future, the important thing for me is to keep him by my side.

[Alex's perspective]

After that incident, everything returned to normal, Charlie and I both stopped talking about it.

He's still the film emperor, and I am still his little assistant.

Charlie rested for a few days after finishing a play.

These past few days, Charlie is receiving a lot of offers for a play. That's why we, as his crew was also busy and barely have free time.

There is a play for today, and Charlie is busy discussing the following story with the director and does not seem to need my help that much.

I seldom get free time, so I opened a music app, listened to a song and took a rest. I noticed that my brother has a new piece. I was delighted to open the page and bought his album.

It's only a whole 2-minute listening to his voice and I already feel relaxed.
