Chapter ８

Robie has been at home with me these days. I always thought he was free to accompany me because there was nothing wrong with the company. Because of his excessive enthusiasm I always subconsciously wanted to run away, but he always made me look him in the eye. I told him not to move around too much because I am worried about his legs, but he always teased me.

"Why are you so shy?" he asked in a teasing manner.

"I'm just not used to it." i replied in a shy voice

While we were talking, Robie's phone rang.

It turned out his brother Gavin was back. Having offended their grandfather before and getting sent to a faraway place for ‘business’ as a result.

Robie instructed someone to inform Megan that there are only three days left for her to gather dirt on Gavin. She can't finish it since Gavin got sent to a faraway place.

Although Robie’s friends think that Megan is not very reliable, Robie is firm in his decision to use Megan.

Megan knows there are only three days left in her deadline, which means she can't delay things anymore. She quickly put on some beautiful makeup and went out to find Gavin.

Megan came to the Condo where he stayed with Gavin before. When she approached the door, the guards stopped her.

"Miss Megan, why are you here?" she got questioned

"Can't I come in?" Megan said in an arrogant tone.

“The young master said to deny you entry if you show up.”

"Get out of the way!" Megan was persistent.

"No, Miss Megan, please don't embarrass us."

"Then tell him I came." Megan can only hope that Gavin allows her entry

Gavin listened. Despite his disgust, he still wanted to hear what Megan came there for.

Megan came, and he ridiculed her in every way. In the end, it forced her to win his sympathy through acting that she hates Robie and wants to help Gavin strike back. He believed Megan's words, and he thinks Megan hates Robie even more.

Little did they know, Robie had already sent someone to follow Megan. He knew about his brother’s every move, and he couldn't help laughing. Indeed, they were all the same people and proof is that they could easily hook up with each other.

Robie told me that the previous villa was being remodeled after that bomb blew off. He said that he would stay with me for a while when he had time.

Robie went to the company, and the three-day deadline was up. Megan kept her promise and came to the office, proudly showing Robie the evidence and dirt she got out of Gavin.

“Good work, you may now leave.” Robie said in a cold voice

"You said that if I gave you evidence, you won't divorce me."

"Yes I did, but, do you think I'll take you home and make you the second wife? You may be beautiful but you are ugly inside."

"How can you lie to me!?"

"What would you expect? Do you deserve it? I was only playing around with you. This is nothing compared to when you didn’t want to marry me and instead used your sister sacrificing her freedom ."

"I only did it for you. You can't do this to me." Megan said in disbelief and confusion

Robie then made her leave even when she was reluctant she had to leave since she doesn't want to anger Robie .

In the next few days, the entire city was full of scandals about Gavin and Megan.

Grandpa was furious.

"You are a complete disgrace to this family!"

"Grandpa, listen to me, someone framed me."

"Stop denying it already! When will you learn?!"

Everyone except Robie is apologizing to Grandpa, but Grandpa isn't listening to them anymore.

Grandpa removed Gavin from his position in the company.

Megan was not feeling well and her parents scolded her for her actions, but she is stubborn and is still unwilling to divorce. Dad had lost all hope for her and stopped acting about her or her life and death anymore.

Mother loves Megan dearly, so she asked dad to come see me. But because of dad’s unpleasant visit to me before, he refused.

Mom could not persuade him, so she sent Megan away to avoid complications until things settled down.

Megan also thought that Robie couldn't divorce her if he couldn't find her. However, it didn't turn out the way she wanted.

Robie held a press conference and answered questions about Megan and Gavin’s cheating scandal. When the reporter asked if Robie would accept Megan being with Gavin, he replied.

“I do not intend to stop lovers from being together. If they insist on being together, I would agree.”

“About them getting married, you'll need to find out if Grandpa agrees or not.”

His answer is so perfect that people can't question any further. Finally, Robie successfully divorced Megan through legal means.

When it's done, Robie will accompany me to stay in the newly renovated villa for a while.

The housekeeper and I arrived first, but I still have a lingering fear for this place due to the events before.

When I opened the door

‘Bang’

I was immediately frightened and a shriek escaped my mouth

It turns out that Robie and his friends wanted to surprise me but it seems to have failed miserably. In response to my fright, they hurried to comfort me. As soon as I regained my composure, Robie retrieved the divorce certificate of him and Megan.

Their divorce is final!

After I came back from my surprise,

Robie told me to cover my eyes, after awhile he said it's okay to open them

As I opened my eyes I saw that in front of me Robie was holding a diamond ring.

“Will you marry me?”

I didn’t care if this words are cliched and overused

I felt happy inside as i answered

“Yes!”

As I cried and laughed, he put the ring on my fingers.

We held a feast in the dining room, Myself, Robie, and his friends all merrily ate.

When Megan came back after being sent away, she found out that Robie had divorced her through legal means and she immediately cried and started throwing a tantrum. After talking with her several times, my mother asked Megan to go back to being Gavins woman, of course the chances of this happening are slim to none.

Strange to say, I don't know whether the man is too stupid, or he sincerely loves this woman. Regardless of how many times she cheats on him, Gavin will always choose to forgive and get along with Megan.

On this day, my friend Niki and I agreed to go out together. We went to the playground and then to a coffee shop. We always felt that someone was following us along the way, but we were too happy to stay vigilant. Nike and I ordered two cups of coffee, I took a sip, and we talked in a friendly way. Suddenly, a feeling of dizziness came, and I lost consciousness after a few seconds.

I don't know what happened afterward, but after a long time, I opened my eyes, and my eyes were hazy, and a strong sense of dizziness came to my mind.

“Robie!”

I shouted weakly the name of the man in front of me.

Megan is holding the rope that is holding me in the air as she was negotiating with Robie.

Originally, I was kidnapped after fainting by thuggish people, and Niki can do nothing but inform Robie.

It's Megan again.

"Do you want to save her? Then you can come here by yourself."

"I let you go again and again, but I didn't expect you to still be stubborn."

Robie stood up slowly with his hands on both sides of the wheelchair, and Megan looked shocked.

Has he already recovered?

Has he been lying to me?

Robie pushed Megan aside and slowly laid down the rope then I fell into his arms.

“When… When did you….” I couldn’t finish my words before i fell unconscious

When I woke up, I was lying in the hospital with Robie beside me.

Since he lied to me I just don't want to face him yet. Just when Niki came, I asked her to stay with me and asked Robie to leave.

He tried to explain to me but I didn't want to hear it.

After leaving the hospital, Niki invited me to learn how to drive. It was there that I met my coach, who is surprisingly Robie. I knew it’s not going to be that simple. He taught me to drive and it slowly eased my apprehension towards him and finally I forgave him.
