Chapter １２

I sat on the balcony looking at the sea. The servants whispered among themselves about how to comfort me.

Suddenly, my belly was in pain. When the servant saw my pale face, he hurried over and called the private doctor that serves Robies family.

Robie felt sorry and kept talking to me.

The doctor came here to check on me.

"She has a weak body and a cold infection. She should be kept out of a gloomy mood. In addition she can't take medicine when she is pregnant. So please give her some soup instead." The doctor said,

Robie asked the servant to send the doctor out. He thought that I didn't want to see the doctor more than necessary.

Robie went to the company, and suffered a lot working every day.

"Get out of the way and let me in!"

Suddenly, there was a loud noise outside Robie’s office, he had already recognized that voice. It was Lucas who had escaped from America.

"Let him in." Robie said.

"Robie, where did you hide Abby?" Lucas asked.

"Hide? She is my wife. She is pregnant, so I took her to a safe place." Robie said.

"She will never be happy with you! Did you hide her on the island?" Lucas asked with anger.

"Don't do these childish things again, or you will regret it." Robie said

Robie was angry but he didn't care much about showing it.

Lucas came to the island to find me. He was hit and stopped by Robie, and was thrown out directly.

“Stop! Please let Lucas go”

“Ab….by”

Lucas fainted after he said those words

I still sat on the balcony and looked at the sea every day. Lucas hasn't appeared in the past few days. Perhaps this was for the best.

In the following days, Robie took good care of me, but we had nothing to say to one another.

I was heartbroken when I saw the video sent by Megan. Robie was having an affair with her.

My heart began to hurt. He rekindled his love affair with Fiona and was fooling around with Megan, the woman he hates most.

I was so angry and my belly was in pain.

I shouted for the servant and he saw me lying in the ground in pain

I was rushed to the hospital

The pain was unbearable and I gave birth prematurely.

I opened my eyes and saw my lower abdomen had become flat. I anxiously asked the nurse, "Where is my child?"

"Madam……………. It is best that you rest first before you see your child”

“Why can't I see my child?” i asked

A terrible premonition began to well up in me

No…. that can’t be….

“WHERE IS MY CHILD!?” I roared

Tears are about to burst from my eyes

The doctor hesitantly replied.

“We tried to do everything….. But we can’t save your child's life…”

My tears finally broke free

I ran out of the hospital crying and wailing

I didn’t know how I got here but when I finally gained my senses.

I saw the ocean beneath me as i was standing at the edge of a cliff

I looked at the path I must have took, it was a rocky and uneven path up the hill that is the back of this cliff.

Those rocks would explain why my feet are bleeding. But………… even though I'm bleeding…….. Why can't I feel pain? Instead the only pain i feel is the one in my heart right now

"Baby... mom is sorry……. for not being able to carry you in my arms."

“ABBY!”

“ABBYYYYYY!”

I saw Robie chasing me up this cliff.

I took my eyes away from him after taking just a single glance

I put my foot forward, after that i put the other foot in front of the one before

Then the other, then the other

Before i knew it i watched as the sea came closer to me, but i know that i'm the one actually coming closer to the sea after i walked off the cliff

The scene shocked Robie causing him to step on a rock that made him trip as he rolled down the hill, in the process he broke his leg, for real this time.

Half a month had passed when he woke up.

"Where's my wife?" The first thing he asked.

His friend looked at him and didn't know what to say. His best friend William came back from France after hearing about Robie.

"Robie, don't think about anything else, calm yourself down first." William said.

"Did you find her? Tell me quickly!" Robie asked persistently.

"After your wife has fallen into the sea, we still haven't found her yet." William replied.

"What do you mean!? I'm going out to find her!" Robie said.

Robie found his legs unable to move. "What happened to my legs?"

"Your leg is broken, but the doctor said that as long as you have a good rest, you will be fine soon." William said.

"How can I have a good rest? I'm going to find her!" Robie said.

"Don't move, I assure you we will find her." William said.

Being persuaded by his friends all the time Robie still did not want to stay put. The doctor gave him a sleeping drug and he finally calmed down and muttered.“Abb...yyyyy..”

They sent a lot of people to the seaside to search, but they found nothing.

Half a month passed, and Robie's mental state became worse. Every day, just like me, he sat on the balcony in a daze, gazing at the sea.

Grandpa saw him and was also very distressed.

Robie didn't care about the company and was not interested in anything.

So Grandpa can only reluctantly hand over the company to Gavin.

Robie found my mobile phone in the cupboard and saw my screen saver,

It was a black screen. He realized that I never wanted to see him since I didn't put our photos together as a screen saver.

Clicking on the photo album, he saw all the photos of him and Fiona that Megan sent me all the time and the video that finally drove me to step off the cliff.

He was furious beyond comparison. He did not sleep until he caught the one who planned this. He caught the man who helped Megan modify and edit the video.He fed the man to his wolf.

Megan woke up from being unconscious and saw Robie. She was shaking and begging for mercy.

"I beg you to let me go! I didn't do these things. They forced me." Megan begged.

"Fiona forced me to do this. You can't do this to me." Megan continued.

Robie doesn't want to listen to her nonsense anymore.

"Do it." Robie told his bodyguards.

Megan was stripped naked. Since she likes fooling around, Robie gave her to several bodyguards and they played with her while filming it.

Robie's brother, who is proud of himself being in the position of president, could not contact Megan for a long time. So he called Megan, but she didn’t answer.

Mom answered when Gavin called the landline phone. She cried and said Megan had disappeared for several days. Gavin immediately thought that Robie had kidnapped her.

"Did you kidnap Megan?" Gavin asked Robie over the phone.

"She is having a good time now. Let me send you a video." Robie answered in a sneer.

When he received the video and saw Megan ravaged by several men, he felt a little distressed.

Then it was Fiona's turn. He didn't want to see her face anymore, and he decided to forcibly buy their company.

To save their hard-earned industry, Fiona’s father had to reluctantly cut ties with her, only to avoid the beating of Robie.

Fiona was at a loss and pleaded with Robie.

When she was walking alone after failing to plead with Robie she met several gangsters on the road but was rescued by a mysterious man.

Robie, who did all this, still couldn’t pull himself together.

Even if all these people were disposed of, his wife would not come back.

The bodyguard pushed the wheelchair forward and he came to this place where I fell into the sea. He met someone selling roses there

“Come to think of it… i've never given flowers even once”

“I’ll take them all” Robie said to the seller.

Suddenly the seller pulled out a knife and went straight for Robie’s neck

The bodyguard pushed Robie’s wheelchair down so the knife would miss Robie

As a result, Robie turned himself over and fell off the railing, and the killer ran away in panic.

His bodyguard came to rescue him.

Robie woke up in the hospital with an amnesia,

He forgot about Abby for a short while, but even when he forgot, he felt that he was missing something important, and that he should look for it.

Grandpa looked at his increasingly depressed grandson with significant distress and decided to tell him the truth.

Grandpa came to the island with a five to six-month-old child in his arms. When the housekeeper saw it, he felt very much that the child looked like Robie, and he was stunned.
