The next day, I went to the company to report.
A man came up and asked me to go to the President's office.
I'm puzzled. Do ordinary employees have to be approved by the president when they join the company?
I didn't expect the reason however. I was hired to be Austin's secretary.
"President, I am here to apply as an economist, not as a secretary."
"Newcomers in our company have always started as the President's secretary. and when they are already qualified, then they will be appointed and transferred to a different department."
Isn't that just a blatant lie?
"President, can I not be your secretary?" I still want to refuse the position again.
The president exclaimed, "No."
I was firm. I am going to fight for my desired position, "In this case, I can only resign."
I don't want to stay any longer in this fraudulent company.
"Resignation is fine, as long as you compensate for liquidated damages." Austin said with a careless face.
I was dumbfounded, "What liquidated damages?"
