He saw my thoughts too and didn't say much. He only comforted me, "Don't worry, I'll have someone find it right away."
Now I can't hide it anymore and decide to tell him the truth.
"Gavin, you've to find the child. She's your child."
Gavin looked at me with wide eyes in shock, but he thought I was worried that he couldn't find children.
"Well, I know. I'm going to find her. You can rest assured. I said I'd treat her like my own child, so I'll keep my word."
"No, what I said is true. She is your child. All these years, I didn't tell you the truth because I was afraid you'd take her away from me."
He looked at me with a lowered gaze. "Are you telling the truth? Are you kidding me?"
"What time is it now? I'm not in the mood to joke with you."
He suddenly froze and focused on driving. once home, he replied to me, "I'll find the kid. You can rest easy on that."
He sent me home and left, not knowing where to go, leaving me home alone, restless and suffering.
