"Real Anika just woke up!" He smirks after making his way to his office.

Denise saw him walking with a little spark on his face.

"Good morning, sir! You look happy!" She said when he saw him smirk.

Argus blush a bit after hearing Denise. He recalled their intimate kiss again on the elevator. He felt strong bonds when his lips touch her soft lips.

"Really? Well, thanks for that compliment, Denise!" He mumbled.

Denise smells something fishy here. She saw Anika or Ariana walking inside her office with her red cheeks. She was dying to know what just happened to the two of them. The atmosphere here seems flowery.

"Well, Ma'am Anika set up a meeting this afternoon at 4 and she said that your presence is a must!" She added but Argus remembered about the party.

He can't fail his Beta August and his cousin Railey especially the Blue Moon Packs. He's wondering if the Red Blood packs and the Black Moon packs will attend. He will surely report Devorah for being greedy. Werewolves and Lycans are once hostile to each other but when the new memorandum came from the higher Alpha, these two-body shifters became buddy and the balance of the forest continues to develop. But Canids wolves are more cunning than the rogues at this point. Deborah, the head of them won't listen especially their Luna.

"When is the meeting end?" He asked Denise.

"At six because she had an important appointment to attend" she added and passed beside him.

Argus excuses himself and he followed her and stops by on his desk. Before the meeting start, he fixes his documents to be reported and files to be presented to the board of directors.

Meanwhile, Anika was too busy to think about how she can erase the thoughts about Mr. Mateo's kiss. She was like crazy upon shaking her head many times. She nearly had a heart attack when she felt hands trailing on her neck. When she looks back, it's Dave, her assistant childhood friend. But she's not aware because Ariana doesn't know about him.

"Ahhh!!! Who the hell are you? Help, someone wants to rape me! Help!" She keeps on screaming but Dave covered her mouth. She keeps struggling until everyone came to her office and also Argus and they all saw what Dave is doing to her. He was shocked about Anika's reaction because he's always doing it to her for almost ten years but she reacts like it was her first time.

He let go of her.

"What happened here?" Argus asked Dave. His eyes look worried.

Ariana was trembling. Denise came also into the scene. She quickly went to Ariana to help her calm. She knows that she was the fake Anika and she finds an alibi to avoid suspicion from her.

"I'm sorry Dave but will you not do it again. Ma'am Anika is suffering from a nervous breakdown this past week, right ma'am?" She made a signal glance at her to go with the flow.

Ariana just realizes that she wasn't familiar yet with people and work in the company.

She took a deep breath.

"I'm so sorry, but what Denise said is true. I'm sorry Dave if I scare you too. I don't want to let you know but I think everyone knows and I have nothing to hide." She fakenly does a drama in front of them and as her eyes landed on Argus who also care about her, she began to bit her lower lip unintentionally.

Dave crouched down to stare at her.

"Why you keep it from me? I'm your best friend and assistant! You don't keep secrets to me Nika!" He said while holding her hands.

Ariana only realized that this pretty guy is Anika's close friend and assistant. Why did Denise didn't tell her in the first place?

Ariana holds his hands acting close at him. She had to bet back from being a boss.

" It's okay. Don't worry, Dave, I'm recovering now" she mumbled and stared at her employees who were still there to witness her craziness.

"Everyone, go back to work!" She tried to act like a CEO but she had no idea if what she did was good enough. She saw Argus leave and she tried to stop him but it's complicated.

Dave and Denise talks while Ariana listened. They laugh and tease her at Argus. Now, the topic became hotter inside her office.

"Hey, Nika, tell me, did something happened this morning?" Dave asked her. He was not a straight guy. He has a girl's heart inside the body of a man.

Ariana had to keep it a secret no matter what. That is not her agenda, to fall to someone else here in the present time.

"Nothing. I don't like him okay," she told them but deep inside her, she is lying.

Present Era

Argus POV

Finally, the meeting is over and I still have one hour to fix my things and myself to attend my cousin's Railey awards night party.

I never thought that the Blue Moon Packs would perform this such kind of feminine events for all the Alphas. Well, in my packs, the Lycan Packs, we prefer to stay low even we are the most stronger and influential among all the pack's hierarchy.

Well, tonight is my first experience attending the pack's party for my whole life. To have a zero luna in my side, I was like an Alpha without balls. I'm didn't care about it either because I now found the apple of my eye.

I smirk when I recalled again what happened inside the elevator. I can't forget her soft and sweet lips touching mine. I almost throw my phone when I bump into someone.

"Holy, mother nature!" Ariana gasps in the air and lost her balance.

Like a night and shining armor, with my adrenaline rush, I captured her in my arms, and our eyes met. I felt a strong attraction between us when my skin clashed with her softness. It's like my manhood inside me awakens.

"I'm so sorry. I don't know you were coming!" I apologize to her after we both regained ourselves.

I saw her turned into a soft lady again. She turned her head to ignore my gaze at her. She's becoming weird again like every time we met, she's changing like there is someone inside her who isn't her real soul. I'm getting confused this time.

At last, she replied.

"I'm okay. May I?" She said while waiting for me to offer her space.

I promptly sway my hands on my side.

"Your off to go, pretty lady" I whispered sweetly.

I wanted to stop her but my mind told me not to meddle with her life. I shook my head to erase her tempted lips into my thoughts. I must go quickly to the party. I'll be dead to my cousin Railey if I didn't attend to his invitation.

Railey Mateo, the Alpha of the Blue Moon Packs. His father Calyx was my dad's older brother, my uncle who never failed to help my packs in times of danger but unfortunately, he died too during the war between the savage Rogues with the leadership of their Alpha Tore.

It's been a year since they accepted Lycans like us during the awards night. Railey, the admin of the said event is Lycans himself but at the party, werewolves, rogues, and lycans are invited. They had to be friends in just one night to heard someone's voices about invading territories, the rules to follow to maintain harmony in the human world. Wolves and body shifters wolves are known to be notoriously cruel and human eater a time ago but when Alpha Raxin, my father became the head of Moon Packs, there is equilibrium in the whole world.

Anika PoV as Ariana

I've been walking back and forth inside my room while biting my fingernails. I was nervous because thinking about the party, I got a phobia about it. It's still fresh in my memories how Dilan notice me and offered me a dance. It's nostalgic at first but when the night came of Amaya's death, it's the same night after the party that King Markus' accused me of killing her.

I just startled when Denise came in and saw me in this state.

"Hey, why are you still here? Aren't you attending?" She asked me when I was still in my work dress.

I took a deep breath and shifted my gaze at her. I don't know why I feel uncomfortable about attending their pack party. I felt guilty to think that I was the one doing it not the real Anika.
