I saw myself laying on the hospital bed beside my father. The operation went well and I was glad that he was safe. I made a little stretch of my arms after getting up to check if he was awake. He moved his fingers and slowly opened his eyes. His gaze roamed within the four pillars of the white room until his eyes landed towards me. I set a smile on my face, a sign of relief and hope.
I sat beside him and hold his hands.
"Dad, don't make so much movement, or else your stitch and operation might react!" I quickly scold him for moving his body.
"Where am I? Who are you?" My eyes widened in shock.
I need to confirm it myself. Dad doesn't recognize me? No, wait, maybe it's the effect of anesthesia they injected into him after the operation.
I look into his eyes and ask him again my name.
"It's me, Lucy. Your daughter. Can you recognize me now?" I asked him again but his eyes seem like looking at the ceiling.
