Chapter ４９

Calvin took a few deep breaths, "I said I was here for you!"

"No! You're not!" I grinned, finally understanding everything.

The reason Calvin came to me was just because of that ring which symbolizes family and belongs to the heir.  I kept it carefully over the years. I understood the whole story and wiped my tears. Although I am disappointed and sad, I tried my best to hold it in.

Trying to keep my voice calm, I whispered, "Now I've given you back the ring. You can leave after you take it. I'll forget what happened!"

 "Can you really assume nothing happened?" asked Calvin through clenched teeth.

"Don't worry, I won't say anything." I closed my mouth.

"Good, very good!" Calvin clenched his fists, trying to contain his anger.

"Wow!" My eyes widened instantly and I struggled desperately, trying to push Calvin away.
