Chapter 28

What the heck? Did I just fall in their trap? I remembered hearing a crashing noise. My eyes darted toward the direction instantly as the thought entered my mind. But I was even more shocked after seeing that it was merely a few pieces of wood piled together. Waves of flame emerged out as sparkles of fire flew in the air.

So this was really a trap. I wondered where that sound came from. But I didn't have to think twice before finding another car crashed in the middle of the road. Blood was spilling outside from the driver seat of the car and I could vaguely see a human figure inside. Another man in black was leaning over that human and sticking his mouth on the neck.

It was clear what was happening here. Seeing the scene before my eyes, I paled and my limbs trembled. I really wanted to curse myself and hit myself in the head for not waking up Liam first.

"The girl is finally out, and she's even alone," a man said excitedly, and turned to face his colleague. "Should we kill her?"
