Chapter ２９

I walked up to the two men.

Darren sees me first. He stops, says something in Luke's ear, and then trots to meet me. "Miss Krista is coming."

I ignored him. Darren is embarrassed. Luke comes up and says, "Mrs. Fischer, are you feeling better?"

I looked at them and said, "I'm recovering well. How is the situation at the construction site these two days? Tell me about it yourself."

Darren laughed. "Mrs. Fischer, Luke is in charge of the construction here now, so..."

"You mean I can't ask Luke?"

"I don't mean that. I want to say that this kind of small thing can be reported by others."

I raised my eyebrows and calmly said, "Then you come."

"Well... I'm not familiar with this place."

"Then what are you doing here?"

"Mr. Wyatt told me to come."
