Chapter 94

Cheney's POV

When I went back to my room, I saw Krista changed her clothes and sat by the window looking out at the scenery.

I whispered, "Why are you so down?"

She didn't look back, just a faint response, "My period is over, and my body is comfortable, but I'm not down or anything."

"Did you change your clothes and plan to go out?"

"Yeah."

I volunteered, "Where do you want to go?"

"Lockie asked me out many times and was going to see him, but when I went out and saw Miss Flora, I came back immediately."

I'm upset. "What does Lockie ask you to do every day? Does he have no friends in City A except you?"

"Maybe... there is no such kiss as me and him."

She really dares to say it. She's quite proud to be a close friend with a man?

Anyway, it sounds very uncomfortable to me.

I sat down. "Flora's gone."

"Well, I saw it." She pointed out the window. "Uncle Jacob pushed her wheelchair away."

"Are you still going out?"

"Not anymore."
