Chapter 102

Jacob's pov

I hadn't been back for a few days, and when I came back to get a change of clothes, I happened to see Krista talking and laughing with Afra in the greenhouse.

Seeing the smile on Krista's face, I could also think about my daughter lying in a hospital bed, helpless and without any desire to live, just like the living dead before.

My heart is really uncomfortable, why? Flora came first, and the person who fell in love with the young master was also Flora. Why is Flora still the one who bears the pain in the end? What did she do wrong?

Without Mrs. Fischer...  No, Mrs. Fischer is innocent, too.

Krista's pov

As Afra flipped through the book, I saw Uncle Jacob outside the window. I got up, and when I was about to say hello to him, he had bowed respectfully in my direction, and then walked to his own cabin.

When I sat down, Afra looked at me wondering, "Aunt, who are you looking?"

I recovered, sat down and smiled at Afra. "Nothing, go on, just keep reading."
