Chapter 42

“I don't think I can walk on it,” I complained while rubbing my ankle.

I knew I could have hopped or walked really slowly, but I wanted looking after.

“Do you want me to carry you?” He asked with a huge smirk on his face. I did want him to carry me back into the house, and I wanted him to look after me too. At that exact moment in time, everything felt normal again, but I couldn't shake off all of the thoughts going around in my head. I was still angry at him and wanted answers.

“No actually, I don't. I want you to answer a question for me,” I replied angrily and looked up at him.

“Babe, not now. We can talk later, just let me look after you right now.”

He bent down to pick me up. Before he had a chance to though, I blurted out,

“No, Tristan! I want answers right now, and I am not moving from this spot until I get them.”
