I had to do something and quickly. I was so angry by that point that it took only seconds for me to ascend. Balan's face transformed into a look of wonder and excitement as his gaze scanned over my ascended form. The other two vampires snacking on my boyfriend however, had a look of pure terror and hastily focused their attention on me, instead of Tristan.
