I sighed heavily. I still hated the fact that she told the council about Freya and caused all this in the first place, but I could understand her reasons why. Freya did look just like Kali and in the midst of grief, I think I would have done exactly the same thing.


“I forgive you Hannah, I can see that you thought that you were doing what was best for this faction. After seeing first-hand what, Kali is capable of, I think I would have done the same.”


“Thank you, Mason. I'll let you have some peace and quiet before the girls wake up,” she smiled and placed her hand on mine, she gave it a little squeeze, then stood up and left the dining room.
