Chapter 298

“Yes,” Draco replied. He had calmed himself enough to continue his story. He looked like it was a task he needed to conquer. “As soon as she burst into flames, all the teenagers and children ran away screaming. My mother was so panicked, she kept trying to calm Helena down, saying that my father couldn’t see her like that.”

Draco became increasingly upset while he was telling his story, and I wasn’t sure if he would be able to continue. But after a few deep breaths he began to carry on.

“It was too late. My father had already sensed her power. He came charging out of the house, chanting already in full swing. As soon as he got close enough, Helena began to levitate into the air, and her screams were like nothing I’d ever heard before. My mother tried yelling at my father to let her go, but she couldn’t get through to him. He was so focused on Helena and her flames. It was like nothing else existed.”
