I raised my brows at her and grabbed her arm. She let out a little whimper but I wasn’t in the mood. I didn’t care if she had changed. To me, she would always be the evil and manipulative Kali. I walked forward and pushed her through the door. I ignored my mother and dragged Kali towards the other door. When she still pulled against me, I’d had just about enough. I wanted today over with, and I needed to get drunk. I threw her over my shoulder and sprinted down the hall and up the stairs.


Dashing outside I saw Draco's dragon and Freya seated on top of him. What I would have given for those legs to be wrapped around me again. Fuck. I held Kali up and she refused to put her arms out for Freya to grab.


“Kali, if you don’t reach up for Freya right now, I swear I’ll let the dragon eat you.”
