“Are you okay, Freya?” She asked while making her way over to me. I turned to face her, and for a split second I thought about telling her how I was feeling. We both turned our heads when we heard the pack laughing and joking on their return. The door slammed behind them and they filled up the cabin with laughter and excitement. “Freya?”


I shot my head around to her and she looked concerned for me. I slapped a smile on my face and took in a deep breath, shoving down any emotion I had bubbling up.


“Yeah, I’m fine. I’ll leave you to get ready. What do you drink?”


“I’m here if you need to chat. I know it will take time, and I won’t push it, but just know I’m here.” She took the towel from her head and shook out her long, light-brown hair. It was strange seeing her looking so much like myself. “I’ll drink anything, the stronger the better.”


“Woman after my own heart,” I said with a chuckle then headed to the door.
