Chapter Twenty-four: Too much

Max and bryce got on stage and were waiting for Mic to announce the battle. Max was in his suit but not in his robotic form. In fact he has not been in it all day. "Ready, GO!" Mic yelled as the battle began. bryce cracked his neck as he dashed towards Max "lets test him out,i can't be too hasty here" bryce thought as he threw a fast kick at his chin. Max easily moved out of the way and jumped back "come on,i have better things to do today" Max said as he put both hands in his pockets. The ground around Max turned dark and Black chains came out of the shadows and moved like they were alive and they charged at bryce. "Since these are just shadows,i don't have to suppress my skills then" bryce thought as he made two red daggers and charged at the shadow chains "your hopelesly stupid bryce,he's not taking you seriously" A child-like voice said in his head as he watched the battle from bryce's mind "move out of the way!" the voice said as bryce was thrown into the backseat of his mind "what! Damn it Chara!" bryce yelled in his head. Back on the outside bryce's body suddenly stopped moving as it was wrapped in the shadow chains. "This was almost too easy,almost" Max said as he noticed a change in demeanor "hehehe,now we can actually fight," Chara said as the daggers that bryce made grew into razor sharp red swords "lets have some fun,shall we?" Chara said as he cut through the shadow chains and rushed at Max. "So this is your determination. But it does not seem to be your own. Interesting" Max said as he made bryce fall through his own shadow and onto the ledge of the arena. "You can control shadows at will,and even throw people into their own shadows,interesting. Looks like this will be fun after all!" Chara said as he stabbed his sword into the ground and pulled himself from their shadow "lets see how you like it" Chara said as he stabbed both of his swords into the ground. The entire arena turned red as Max looked around. "This seems like you are making a domain. Luckily I can do the same" Max said as the arena turned black. "Hehe,you're wrong! I wasn't making a domain,the entire arena is about to blow" Chara said as the entire arena glowed an even brighter red as it exploded launching Max and Chara into the air. Max made a shadow copy of the arena to land on. "Interesting, but I have been through much worse" Max said as five black poles came out of the shadow arena and flew at bryce "not so fast!" Chara said as he swung his sword five times,sending five sharp waves at them. These waves tore through the poles with ease as they both landed on the arena. "Interesting, This was newer shadow metal so it was not as hard as normal but it has the strength of steel. Lets go to my home" Max says as everyone's vision blacks out and they see that they are in a world where the only light is a pale orange light and everything else is black. Some panic while others just look around. "Why are we here!?" Kate says. "Welcome everyone to my world!" Max says and his voice sounds amplified. "What?!" A few people scream. "Do not worry bryce, or whoever is in control right now. I am just putting us in here so I can easily repair all damages done. Also I can do this" Max says as he turns to his robotic form and black mist swirls around him. "Seeing this world of darkness reminds you of your goal,it fills you with Determination" A voice in Chara's head said as all Max could see was red lines and a red smile through the darkness "current L.V, 20,hp,100,just keep fighting!" A voice in Chara's head said as Max could had an eerie feeling "this person is weird,and i've seen weird things,but they aren't normal,it's like this person fights to kill,and bryce fights to fight,obviously Chara is in control of the quirk right now but there should be no reason why he can use the quirk better than the original owner,unless" Max thought as Chara dashed at blinding speeds behind Max and tried cutting through the shadow metal. "Barely a scratch,you'll have to do much better than that" Max said coldly as he grabbed Chara "not so fast tin can!" Chara yelled as red daggers appeared all around Max. Chara snapped his fingers as these daggers swarmed Max. Max held on tighter as these knives slowly were able to breach through his shadow metal "i'll have to finish this soon!" Max thought as these knives actually started to cut him "let's end this!" Chara said as Max threw Chara to the ground "Shadow Possession" Max said as he melted into the stage. Chara was waiting for Max to come back. Just then bryce felt something stop his movements. "What is happening?" Izuku asked Kate. "Max almost never uses Shadow possession because it is boring and takes a lot of energy. But since we are in the shadow world he has endless energy. Here he is a god" Kate said as one of bryce's Knives started going to his own neck. "I thought you could not copy this quirk!" Chara yelled trying his best to stop it. "I can't, at least not yet but with shadow possession I don't just take control of your body, I take control of your quirk as well" Max said as his voice echoes everywhere. "You win, I give" Chara says as everyone is transported back to the normal world and Max is standing in the middle of the arena. "M-Max wins!" Mic said as the shadow arena disappeared. Chara switched back with the confused Byrce as the battle was over "i'm so sorry,i normally can keep them under control but this time they just caught me off guard" bryce said as Max went back to his regular form "don't sweat it too much,that was actually the most fun i've had since i got to this school" Max said as he walked away to get healed by Recover Girl. Kate caught up to Max. "You went easy on him. Why?" Kate asked. "Well most of the other ways would have killed him and that is against the rules. Also It was fun showing a few hundred people my world. Also I want to see the effects of Recover girl to see if I can mimic it. Good luck on your battle" Max said as he went.
