Chapter Twenty-nine: One for All

"Alrighty! Now for our last battle of round 1,Shinsou of class 1-B V.s Izuku from class 1-A" Mic said as the two boys walked to the arena from opposite sides "Woo,mop the floor with him Izuku!" Tokiwa yelled as the crowd cheered for the two boys "okay,i need to control my quirk so i don't end up hurting myself too much,or the other person" Izuku thought as he walked onto the arena "i'm fighting the problem child of 1-A,what a drag" Shinsou thought as he walked onto the other side of the area "are both fighters ready?" Mic asked as the two boys nodded "BEGIN!" Mic yelled as Izuku jumped back and tried to analyze Shinsou 'hey,Izuku,can i ask you a question?" Shinsou asked as Izuku confused,answered the question "sure,what is-" izuku said as he stopped suddenly and stood up straight with blank eyes. "Good,now walk out of the arena for me" Shinsou said as Izuku turned around and began to walk out of the ring "what's going on with Izuku?" Iida asked as Monoma explained "his quirk,Brainwash,allows him to put people under his control,he activates it by having them answer a question,it then allows him to put them under his control and issue his command" Monoma said as Izuku was about to walk out of the arena until something in him snapped him out of it. "What's this feeling,I need to snap out of this,I need to!" Izuku thought as he could feel One for All coursing through his veins. "Huh! Was I just about to walk out of the arena?" Izuku said as he stopped right at the edge "did he,did he snap out of it?" shinsou thought as usually his command is followed perfectly and then the brainwashing wears off. Izuku turned around with a determined look on his face "at least now i know how his quirk works,i can beat him" Izuku thought as he ran towards Shinsou and tried to throw a punch at him "this is definitely a drag!" Shinsou thought as he blocked Izuku's punch. "Why aren't you affected by my quirk?" Shinou asked as he punched Izuku in the stomach. Izuku stayed silent as he headbutted Shinsou in the chest "Why are you trying so hard?" Shinsou asked as he pushed Izuku off of him and punched him in the face "this is almost hard to watch,Izuku,just finish him off!" Tokiwa said as Izuku was then uppercutted by Shinsou "gah!" Izuku said as it busted his lip "ugh,it's people like you who annoy me!" Shinsou angrily said as Izuku looked at him confused "what do you mean? I haven't done anything to you" Izuku said as he jumped back and ran One for All through his fingers and flicked a massive air blast at Shinsou "damn it!" Shinsou said as the blast of air pushed him to the edge "people who are born with an amazing quirk, and i don't mean you specifically,i mean everyone in this damn school" Shinsou said as Izuku braced himself as Shinsou ran towards him "people who have quirks that naturally let them be a hero. People like Almight,your friends,all these damn pros" Shinsou said as he started to punch on Izuku. "All my quirk is good for, is being a villain!" Shinsou yelled as Izuku pushed Shinsou off of him briefly. "What are you talking about?" Izuku asked as Shinsou explained "all my life I've been told by everyone that I wouldn;t be able to become a hero,even my idol told me that I was better off being a detective,or a police officer,rather than a hero. They told me my quirk was better suited for crimes and other terrible things,i despised them but wanted desperately to be a hero,while everyone else was blessed with quirks that gave them the ability to fulfill that dream,while i had to suffer throughout my childhood because of my quirk! If it was up to me,i'd rather be quirkless then live with a curse like this" Shinsou said as Izuku became angry after hearing this "what a load of crap!" Izuku said as he punched him in the mouth "your complaining about a quirk that frankly anyone would love,no,kill to have. Just because you had some trouble in your childhood,YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE QUIRKLESS! So don't you ever say that you'd rather be quirkless,because your quirk is amazing,it paves the way for so many things in your future,it's people like you who annoy me the most,you complain about your gift just because it gave you some minor inconveniences in your past" Izuku said angrily as subconsciously One for All charged up in his arm and leg. Izuku dashed towards Shinsou and punched him in the stomach,sending him flying out of the arena. "IZUKU WINS!" Mic yelled as the entire crowd cheered for him. Izuku walked to the hallway that led to Recovery Girl's station as he was stropped midway by the #2 hero Endeavor "Izuku Midoriya,your quirk is oddly similar to Almight's,don't let that power get to your head,my Shoto will crush you and become the #1 hero" Endeavor said as Izuku looked at him "Shoto isn't a tool you can claim as yours,he's a human being,and as far as i'm concerned the #1 spot is something that everyone is competing for" Izuku said as he walked off.
