Chapter Sixteen: Cold Hearted Reunion Pt2

"How can all of you have Tokiwa! Don't hold anything back, if you do, it'll be the death of you" Blue Pheonix said as he blitzed at Tokiwa. "I'd watch your words Blue Pheonix" Tokiwa said as hie eyes glowed purple as he was suddenly behind him. Blue Pheonix managed to raise his arm up to block a kick from Tokiwa that sent him sliding back. Tokiwa rushed at him again while he was still sliding and landed a solid uppercut which sent Blue Phoenix into the air "he's gotten so much stronger. Is this cause of his awakening?" Blue Phoenix thinks to himself as he is surrounded by multiple epic blasters with purple eyes glaring at him down. Tokiwa snaps his fingers as the blasters fire. A massive explosion happens in the sky as a result. Blue Phoenix drops down with his cloths a bit scrothes and tattered but somehow manages to leave without too much damage. "That was interesting, i forgot you could do that" Blue Phoenix said as he cracked his neck. Two blades came from his wrists and into his hands. "Now let's quit with the warm up and get to the real death battle" Blue Phoenix said as he dashed at Tokiwa. Tokiwa had a large grin on his face as he dashed in while making 2 bone daggers that were sharp at the bladed side but hollow in the middle. Tokiwa clashed with Blue Phoenix but got slashed right under the eye but retaliated by slashing Blue Phoenix across the face. "His killing instincts are sharpening. With every clash, every breath, his blood lust grows. But his expression and demeanor makes it as if he isn't even trying. He's regained that instinct back. He may even have surpassed me in this fight" Blue Phoenix  thought as while he was thinking this Tokiwa had used his strings and threw him high into the air. "Glitch Technique" Tokiwa said as black electricity crackled around his hands as he put his thumbs and index fingers together and pointed them at Blue Phoenix. "Hollow Purple" tokiwa said as purple energy was fired at Blue Phoenix. Blue Phoenix managed to dodge but just barely. The moment Blue Pheonix landed however Tokiwa had already prepared an attack. "Sokotsu" Tokiwa said coldly as he brought both of his fists onto Blue Phoenix's chest and shattered 4 of his ribs. Blue Phoenix was sent sliding on his back until he hit a tree. He coughed up blood as Tokiwa stood over him with a cold expression. "You lose," Tokiwa said as Blue Phoenix nodded.  "*ack! Before you go. 2 things. 1 of them is i want Blossom to travel with you. I've seen how happy you've made her. It'd be wrong of me as her uncle to keep her here. 2. Is this" Blue Phoenix said as he reached into his sleeve and brought a sword that had the Xuanwu Assassin insignia on the sheath. "The thousand demon daggers! He had it this entire time?" Tokiwa thought as Blue Pheonix handed it to him. "I couldn't even unsheath the blade, that could only mean 1 thing. Heh. Here i thought i'd never see you like this again. You even look like you did back then" Blue Phoenix said as Tokiwa put the sword on a holster on his waist. "Okay, just rest here, 4 of your ribs were broken so maybe give it 6 hours till you try to move again" Tokiwa said as he walked away towards Blossoms area. "Oh Tokiwa are you alright? How did it go?" Blossom asked as she saw the sword on Tokiwa's hip "since you have that i'm guessing you won. Well that'd truly complete your training here. I guess i'll be seeing you" Blossom said as she sadly hung her head down. Tokiwa grabbed her by the hands and pulled her closer to him "quite the contrary, per your uncle's request, You'll be traveling with me. We leave tomorrow so pack your things. I have some stops i need to go to before we head out. Mainly I need to visit Sung and Soi fon. So that means i'll probably go to the shadow island and the light islands. If that's okay with you" Tokiwa said as Blossom nodded with a big smile on her face.

We cut to Bryce as he is finishing up his training with Byakuya "control yourself, feel the movements of the wind on your face. Control your emotions. And let your body make the moves by itself without your mind telling it to do so" Byakuya said as he threw multiple senbon at Bryce. "Feel the area around you, control your emotions. Let your body move on its own" Bryce thought as he managed to dodge some of the senbon but was cut by some. Bryce then tried to focus harder but only kept getting cut. "...." Bryce thought as he actually managed to empty his mind and dodge all of the senbon actually. For a split moment he gained an ethereal thin white glow around him before it faded as Bryce's thoughts filled his head again.  "I did it?" Bryce said as he opened his eyes as Byakuya was quite surprised "huh, maybe he has more potential than i gave him credit for" he thought as he looked at the time "i guess it's about time you leave and go home. Tokiwa has probably already left so I suggest you go on your way. Here is a map back to Japan. You've gotten a good bit stronger and your body has grown accustomed with the change of Chara not being there" Byakuya said as Byrce nodded. "Thank you sir, for training me" Bryce said as he bowed and ran off. "Let's go, D.T Wings!" Bryce thought as massive red wings formed from D.T formed on Bryce's back and functioned like actual wings and sent him high into the air at insane speeds. 

We cut to Kate as she is in a heated battle with the empress and is struggling to even stand "she's the empress for a reason, i can barely even see her move-" Kate thought as she was punched in the stomach so hard that her body flew into the air a bit. Kate gasped for air as the wind was knocked out of her. "Come on, Soi fon could do better than this. Was she wrong about you" the empress asked as Kate got back up weakly as her eyes gleamed with determination "i won't go down that easily" Kate sid as she could feel something inside of her welling up. A burning sensation. Like something that was dormant for so long finally woke up and was clawing to come out. Kate sprinted at the empress with everything she had left and threw a flurry of kicks and punches that were each parried and dodged. "Come on! Seriously?!" Kate thought as she couldn't touch the empress. The empress grinned as the entire room went dark. And there was only a bright gold and pink light coming from above. "Radiant Shine" the empress said as multi colored blades of light were summoned all around her "try your best to dodge these. They won't kill you but they will hurt like hell" the empress said as Kate looked up while putting her hand in front of her eyes. "Oh shit!" Kate thought as she began to blitz around using shunpo as the blades followed her. Kate managed to dodge some but was hit by many of them. THe more she tried and harder she pushed the more this burning sensation enveloped her body. "That fire in her, that passion for battle is coming forth. She is on the cusp of a break through" the empress thought as Kate began to dodge each and every blade and even made one of her own to counter and parry the blades. With each dodge and parry her moves got cleaner and more refined. Until it felt as if her entire body was on fire. And then and only then was her limits shattered. A bright pink aura could be seen around her. Kate's eyes were pink as well the color of her light, although some of it was a bright gold color.  "She's done it, she's shattered her limits. She's actually the first person among the warriors aside from my family to unlock this form" the empress thought as she got in a battle stance as Kate prepared to come at her with her new found strength. Kate beamed at the Empress, leaving a streak of pink light. Kate went in for a headbutt but it was blocked by the empress the empress threw a kick but Kate managed to dodge out of the way. "I can see" Kate thought as she felt something hot in her hand. She opened her palm and fired a bright yellow beam of light that gred and cut the empress's cheek a bit. Kate rushed back in and threw a flurry of kicks and unches that shook the training room as each one of them clashed with the empress's punches and kicks. "I can see her movements" Kate thought as he actually landed a solid punch on the empress. Kate was overconfident and tried to go for a heavy strike but left herself wide open in the process and was hit in a pressure point which shut her whole body down. Kate fell to the floor unconscious as a result. The room went back to its usual white color as the empress deactivated her move. "Phew, that was a good training battle. I didn't think she'd pick up on the form so fast. But I guess it makes sense due to her parents being prodigies as well. I mean just look at Kizaru. He's only 25 and is already an admiral in the navy" the empress said as she sighed. "*cough*" the empress covered her mouth as she coughed and as she removed her hand, she saw that she had coughed up a fair bit of blood. But this wasn't due to the battle she had with Kate. 

A couple days passed as Kate and the empress walked out of the room they went into train, Kate had her arm around the empress as she laughed loudly and heartily. Almost as if her and the empress were good friends from long ago. The empress told joke after joke until they reached the throne room. "Your already healing, just from a bit of light, you're already automatically using photosynthetic healing. Quite amazing" the empress said as Kate hadn't even noticed "hmm, i guess i am" Kate said as she bowed and thanked the empress "thank you for taking your time to train me. I've gotten wonderfully strong. Stronger than I ever dreamed I could have gotten and thank you for letting me enter your home. This place, this country, everything is amazing. I wish I could stay but I need to go home. Thank you again" Kate said as the empress patted her head as she bowed "it's okay my child, you have no need to thank me. You have been a wonderful guest in the palace. No, you're not even a guest, you're more like family. As I view everyone in this wonderful place. All my people are my family. United as one" the empress said as Kate rose her head. "I'll be off now" Kate said as she walked out of the throne room. 

As she went outside she noticed something was off. The sky was cloudy and the temperature continued to drop. The water around the island started to freeze and light was not as strong anymore on the island. Then came a thick fog coming from the ocean and a figure's silhouette was seen. Many of the fighters were prepared and the rest were trying to get to someplace else. Max came out of the fog but not the same. His skin was white as snow and frost and darkness seemed to flow from him. As people saw Max they started to attack, but all ranged attacks were swallowed up in his darkness. "Bring me the empress or get out of my way" Max said as several darkness infused ice crystals formed around him. One fighter picked up a spear and charged at Max but Max easily grabbed the spear head and froze the body nearly instantly before it exploded. More warriors came out to try and stop whatever this was. Kate jumped closer and closer until she could see who the hell was attacking the island "Max?!" Kate thought as she couldn't understand why Max would even be here much more to attack the island. "Wait, why is it so cold, and why does he have ice powers. Is this cause of Mayuri. I have so many questions" Kate thought as he could hear Max torturing one of the soldiers. "Wait, he's got Soi Fon!" Kate thought as she blitzed over at Max and managed to grab Soi fon and get behind Max and to a place where the snow and ice hadn't reached. "K-kate?" Soi fon weakly asked as Kates shushed her and also took the coat she was wearing. "Shhh, i don't truly know what's going on but i'll do my best to resolve all of this" Kate said as she blitzed back to Max who was actually killing people now. "Kate, you fool, you should have ran when you got the chance" Max said as a freezing wind burst came from his hand and froze all those near her. "You know, when we broke up i defended you here. People thought you'd come bck one day and kill everyone/ I told them your not like that. But here you are, on a quest for revenge over a frankly unhealthy relationship. So, if you would. WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HERE AND WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!" Kate shouted as she could feel her blood boiling. "You made a mistake. I am not here for you anymore. My mother sent an embassy and helped me by freezing my emotions. Then, she explained everything. Me meeting you was not a coincidence, no. My mother found a perfect doll for me to play and test with. Its true I did love you. But the moment your rejected me all I felt was anguish, sadness, anger, and hatred. But my mother helped me. And told me what I was born for. What the light clan have been trying to hide for so many years" Max said as he shot several Ice spears. Kate, with her anger boiling over, easily destroyed most of them and caught one in her hand before it hit her face. "You know what, asking you to explain yourself was my mistake. I won't make the same mistake again" Kate said as she blitzed directly at Max with her fist glowing a bright yellow. Kate hit Max but he showed nothing, just a blank stare. "No, it was your mistake choosing the light. Let me tell you something that drove my mother mad. There is a prophecy about a child born of darkness and cold" Max said as Kate kneed him in the chin sending him flying into the air. Max simply started floating in the air, showing he had no regard for his body. "-Will choose to save the world or destroy it" Max said. "Hmm, he doesn't show signs of feeling any of these hits. But that doesn't mean he isn't taking damage from them. His body is physically recoiling but not reacting" Kate thought as she turned up the heat and started landing blow after blow and even drawing blood from Max's nose as she finished her combo off with a spinning kick which sent him crashing down through a building. 

As this was going on, tokiwa and Blossom were flying in on one of Tokiwa's blasters until they encountered a massive snow storm. The storm was so bad that they could barely see anything or anyone. "I can hear fighting happening in the distance. Bloss, hopefully you have a coat, cause I'm going to go check it out. I'll be back soon" Tokiwa said as Blossom nodded as Tokiwa made another blaster and used that one to check out what was going on in the distance.  Max floated up in the air as he was injured but Kate was running out of energy. "Mother doesn't want me to break my first toy. So let's up it a bit" Max said as he raised his hand in the air. Darkness started to block out the sun, causing a solar eclipse which severely weakened light based quirks but triggered Kate's solar eclipse form. "Neat, looks like your darkness didn't ruin everything for once in your life" Kate said trying to bait Max. Kate could feel her lust for battle slowly rising as she cracked her neck. "Now, lets get this show on the road!" Kate shouted as she blitzed at Max but suddenly used Shunpo and got right behind him. Grabbing his waist and suplexing him into the ground so hard that massive amounts of snow was thrown into the air. Max got up like it was nothing. "You seem to misunderstand again. I granted you that power so I wanted to test it out. My only chance at awakening is either killing you or the empress of light. Speaking of which, I sense a few friends on the way. And one bystander still breathing" Max said as he glanced at a girl wearing a light robe and has horns. Before Max could actually get to her. Blue strings wrapped around her and pulled her up into the sky. "I suggest you get out here before getting hurt" Tokiwa said while smiling warmly as he patted the blaster which made it go towards another island 15 minutes away. Tokiwa dropped down to where Max was and landed right in front of him with the look of a cold blooded killer. "Hm, mother didn't want me to kill that one anyway. Fair warning as we were friends. Back away before you die" Max said as his powers were reaching synchronization. "Funny, as i am now, i should be warning you" Tokiwa said as his eyes glowed purple "i can already tell that whatever this is, it isn't Max. So I shouldn't feel a thing" Tokwia thought to himself. "Anger is my trigger, push me too far and this island will cease to exist. My mother has plans and a few bumps won't ruin it. I have gotten used to my ice. I won't hold back anymore" Max said as several dozen copies of him were made from space, darkness, and ice, all had a 10th of his durability and power but they all just stood there. "Cute" Tokwia said as he stomped on Max's foot and got right in his face. Tokiwa snapped his fingers as he made a dozen epic blasters which all had lasers ready which illuminated the area a deep purple "let's go to war then ice queen" Tokiwa mockingly said. "Ice queen?" Max said as his other selves stabbed themselves before turning into ice spears with terrifying power. "Hehehehe!" Tokiwa let out as his voice started glitching along with his body . He jumped onto the balster he had already flown in one and prepared for battle. "One power I didn't get from my mother yet is power over the soul. But she told me a technique that should work. Ice Domain" Max said as almost half of the islands including the palace froze over. Max's hair temporarily turned while as his pupils disappeared, leaving only the white's of his eyes with a ghostly blue glow to them. Max hovered above the frozen ground as Tokiwa made a massive blaster shell to protect him and Kate from the attack. "Oh god, it's been ages since I've last had this much fun," a voice said from Max's mouth. It was as if 2 voices were speaking at once. One was Max's but the other, the other was one that hasn't been heard in years. "Hm, my son's body isn't quite used to the ice as I would have wanted. And I'm surprised the light clan had a water clan member, especially since it was the light clan who destroyed the water clan. Who knew it would be Lilly. If she matured enough, she would be perfect for my son! But first things first" Max said as several hundred giant Ice golems came from the ground. "Time for my revenge" they said as the golems started causing destruction. "Ah shit" Tokiwa said as he noticed the multiple ice golems. "Kate, here's the plan-" tokiwa said as he noticed Kate bouncing from golem to golem. "That makes things easier" Tokiwa said as he stared down whatever they were. "Now's a better time than ever" Tokiwa said as he unsheathed his sword. Tokiwa blitzed at them and went in for a slash attack. "Hehe, frost queen form" Max said as in a blink of an eye he turned into a woman with dark blue robes and white skin and hair with red eyes. "Hm, that's to  that bitch, my son is used to a woman's body. Now, while you two play with my golems, you forgot one thing my son can do that I can't wait to try" she said as a dozen portals appeared and showed chained light members, including the Lilly girl. Max's mom went up to Lilly who was shocked to see her again. "Aw, poor Lilly. Your parents will be avenged soon. But for now I will send you someplace safe" she said as Lilly went back through the portal and Max started slaughtering his/her hostages
