Chapter 15: A Father's Love

Rycer immediately stepped up beside Vesta.

Mr. Fergus raised a hand, “Henry, what’s the problem? This is my daughter.”

“I see who it is,” Henry snapped. “Where are our wives and families?”

“We just happened to find the information of my dad’s location,” Vesta said. “Condra Tae and his crew rescued me and my neighbors from Earth.”

“Fraser was rescued?” her dad mumbled.

“Yes, their whole family was rescued at the same time I was,” Vesta looked at her dad. Jesse looked pleased. More than one Sunday saw the Fergus and Fraser families watching a football game and enjoying a barbeque together. They would catch up later.

Henry and a few other large men stepped forward, “So they rescued you, so you are loyal to them? Do you work for them? Help them steal humans?”

“What are you talking about?” Vesta blurted.

“They took us from our homes!” someone called from the back of the crowd. “We didn’t have a choice!”
